The best restaurants in New ross

28/01/2026: Came here for lunch on a Sunday after choosing it from random just based off the Menus in the photos on Google. We were seated straight away and catered to very attentively by the owner Ann who we had a great chat with throughout our meal. Food arrived very fast and it was absolutely fantastic in fairness. Top quality wraps made fresh. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

01/01/2026: They were able to squeeze us in last-minute for dinner in new years eve - lovely food, drinks, and staff. They had 2 vegetarian options too which was great

28/12/2025: At Mannions everything is quick and tasty, with no unnecessary waiting. The staff are polite and attentive. Portions are large, the food is good, and the dessert especially deserves recognition — very tasty.

07/02/2026: Stayed for one night, reception staff very helpful and pleasant. The place was very busy no room to eat in the restaurant or to sit have a drink unfortunately. Tried to order room service on 4 occasions but was told they were to busy which was very inconvenient as we had to drive over half an hour away to get a decent restaurant. The hotel needs to prioritise the residents staying there not the people who are just popping in for something to eat or drink . The girl who answered the phone about the room service was very polite and apologetic but we could here the manager or bar manger who job it is to organise this say we have no staff . It was very unprofessional and we would not return. If your paying €172 for a room for the night as a resident you should be treated better than this . Also the road up to the hotel beware of the potholes its more like a country lane .

04/02/2026: We had an enjoyable stay here with our three children. The family rooms was superb and spacious. It was very warm which is a good complaint. They have a nice big swimming pool and kids loved it. We ate in both the bar and restaurant. The restaurant is better in our opinion. The food is nicer and service is good. Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel especially for families. Staff are friendly and provide a good breakfast.

22/10/2025: We used to go here very regularly but have been disappointed during our recent visits. Last time we ordered 2 mains and 1 side, tea for two and an orange juice. The table next to us arrived 10 mins after us and got their coffee quickly. We then got the side and one main, no beverages. It took another 15 mins for the second main to arrive by which the other food was pretty cold. Still no beverages, which we had to ask for again and only got the tea never the juice. It will be a while before we might give this place another go. The atmosphere is really lovely and we're sad to leave this review.

11/10/2025: Excellent food and staff were great.

28/10/2025: Quite a good selection. Nice cafe upstairs. Some limits: they only have SAE 30; one generator they sell wants SAE 10W30 oil (found it at Ferns Engineering). Chainsaw files, yes; replacement chains, no. Good range of power tools.

12/10/2025: Great spot for all your DIY and paint needs, the garden centre is also great here. Cafe shop is great too. Plenty of parking outside and also has a delivery service too. Staff are great here and very knowledgeable. There are also very friendly and helpful. This is a one stop shop for all your needs. I would highly recommend 👌. Also have santa here during the Christmas period. Deffo worth dropping in. 5 stats all day.

10/12/2025: Excellent attractive and comfortable pub with a pleasant friendly ambiance and classic pints. Well worth a visit.

28/09/2025: Very very good kebab. Numero Uno w calej Irlandii. What would I change? 1. Wrap it in aluminium foil first than paper -no wet hands and soaked paper. 2. Spicy sauce should be more spicy. 3. Bigger portions.

17/09/2025: Great little place to visit for an absolutely fantastic takeaway Kabab meal, the food is hot, tender and plentyful, and great value for money, you won't be hungry afterwards, highly recommended

09/02/2026: We visited at 12,30 on a dull wet Monday morning and our spirits were immediately improved. A bright spacious dining area with fabulous views of the river and surrounding areas. Our servers were very capable and on their recommendation of scampi with chips and salad and a chicken curry with rice was ordered . We didn't have to wait long for it to arrive and the servings were generous. The food was delicious and the banter with staff and some other customers was lighthearted and good humoured . They are celebrating their 25 anniversary and look good for the next 25 ! Best wishes and we will be back !

28/12/2025: We really enjoyed the Indian vegetarian menu here. We shared 4 dishes between 5 of us with Nan breads. The food was full of flavor and very delicious. The female waitress was amazing and an absolute credit to the restaurant.a definite recommendation.

12/12/2025: Got a takeaway delivered from here tonight, got chicken tikka & peshwani nanIt was really good, ill be ordering again!
