23/03/2025: By good fortune we found ourselves seated in Ann’s cosy café. After an hour on the sideline of a wet pitch, and with two hungry footballers in tow we were greeted to a warm and cheerful welcome and platters of delicious burgers that would put the ‘other McDonalds’ to shame. After licking our plates we were bid a merry farewell fir the long drive home. If you're hungry in New Ross then look no further than Ann Mc D’s. *****

18/03/2025: Visiting Ireland from Canada and had the pleasure of stopping in for a bite to eat. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food fantastic. Add to that the wonderful hostess who was so kind and friendly. Thank you for a great experience :)

06/03/2025: Lovely cafe in New Ross. Great selection of tasty vegetarian foods (I'm not vegetarian btw) and the staff are great. Proper old school service with a chat and a smile, well worth a visit

07/04/2025: I recently had a Sunday roast that left me with mixed feelings. The beef was just okay—tender enough but lacking in flavor and seasoning, which made it a bit forgettable. On the other hand, the chicken was a pleasant surprise: juicy, well-cooked, and packed with flavor. It definitely outshone the beef. The vegetables were a bit of a letdown—overcooked and under-seasoned, they didn’t add much to the plate and no roast potatoes, Thankfully, things picked up with dessert, which was a definite highlight. Rich, indulgent, and nicely presented, it ended the meal on a sweet note. Service throughout was excellent—attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which helped elevate the overall experience. While the roast itself had its ups and downs, the great service and strong finish with dessert made it a decent Sunday outing. Price for roast 23pp Sweets 9pp Drinks 6pp Total spend approx 40pp not great value for money in my opinion

02/11/2024: Great choices for meat eaters vegetarians and vegans. Very friendly staff and great coffee. Outside seating weather permitting. Great pasti bakes and everything looks homemade. A healthy choice foe all the family

24/11/2024: A hidden gem and amazing coffee. We were in our way to Hook Peninsula and made a stop for a coffee.

20/02/2025: Very nice restaurant and lovely lady serving me, good food and reasonably priced with good Indian menu, possibly leaning too much to non-indian cuisine to appeal to unadventurous Irish pallets. I have only eaten here twice and had hottest dish on menu being Vindaloo, which if you love heat isn't hot enough at all, but very tasty. I had taken away first time and dined in 2nd visit and service is professional, friendly and quick, no longer waits!! I would love if they "spiced" up their menu with the like of Kholopuri or other hot dishes, but I will eat here again and would recommend it to any Indian fans and as a nice, comfortable, good ambience restaurant.

01/01/2025: I didnt go got take away ,got to say they always had the bes curry ever. BUT today tried Tikka masala ,thats absolutely blown my mind. My new favourite !

13/03/2025: it's a bright busy store. has everything for garden and d.i.y. cafe upstairs. staff are very helpful and pleasant.flooring store across the path from it very helpful staff there too. they have a toilet in the main store which is good for customers. as always toilets need an upgrade and some attention.

01/11/2024: Amazing pub in the center of New Ross. It has two areas, one inside is very cozy and the other area is outside, which is also very cool. The owner and the waitress were very friendly and advised us on the most typical Irish beers. Without a doubt, we will return.

18/02/2025: Ten of us met up here for dinner including 4 kids. Food was really lovely and the table was at the window with views out over the river which was fab. We went on a Sunday so booked in ahead as it was a large group. The service was a bit slow but we didn’t mind really as they were busy and we were chatting and catching up anyway. Not cheap but worth it. Kids even got to choose ice creams (mars and iceBerger) from a freezer as their dessert 😊 loads of parking out the front at the river and also a nice walk down along even if not going into the famine ship experience.

16/02/2025: Arrived on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Nice place with friendly staff. After we were seated we were informed that two of the dishes were not available. We ordered the roast beef and were then told it was gone. We ordered steak only to be told that was gone as well. Very poor kitchen management.

23/11/2024: I really like this place. Good atmosphere, good music choice and good prices for drinks. I really recommend it.

19/10/2024: Fabulous little pub in Mary ST. New Ross. Super friendly with top entertainment every weekend. Well worth a visit
