The best restaurants in Roundwood

29/11/2024: The pizza here is insanely good, really high quality ingredients and the wood fired oven makes for a delicious meal. Very reasonably priced as well.

02/11/2024: You can always tell how good a woodfired pizza spot is by how good their margarita is. Beautiful pizza, happened to stop in on my way to Glendalough. This pizza is head and shoulders above ANYTHING I’ve had in Venice. The dough I believe is made fresh in house which is always a bonus & they also do a ‘Lemon Mayo Coleslaw’ which I’m dying to try & will definitely get the next time I’m passing. Would like to see more of a selection on the ‘sides’ part of the menu. Price is probably a bit on the steeper side for some, although I don’t mind paying it for good quality food but I think others would find something to say. Overall 9.5/10. Would return.

17/12/2024: Lovely real log fire. G8 staff years of experience in dealing with people. Top class good cuts of meat. lightly cooked veg, red cabbage to die for. Olde world atmosphere. Caters for Non alcohol drinkers.

05/11/2024: We got married in the nearby Dorlindon forest and then had lunch here, a welcoming place, excellent food, we never got up but unfortunately they needed the table, it's often a very crowded place.

30/12/2024: Not an hour off the plane from Dublin, arrived in Roundwood and hungry. Sometimes it can be nerve wracking visiting a new, rural place as a solo traveller as tables for one aren’t always treated kindly or encouraged, this wasn’t the case here! What an absolute treat this was. Everyone was so welcoming, the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Even as a table for one they’d put me on a lovely spot to the side where I could people watch and eat in peace without feeling awkward on my own. Once I’d finished my food they offered me a comfy sofa by the warm fire to drink my wine and read my book. Big shout out to Helen for her kindness and welcoming energy.

28/12/2024: We went there several times during our stay in Wicklow Mountain! Brilliant restaurant and perfect pub! You can go there without hesitation!

04/12/2024: My favourite pub in Roundwood. Great staff and atmosphere. Always a good fire burning .
