What a treasure. Starting with a complimentary tea and biscuits on our arrival and onto the meals, this place is quality 100% . The staff are courteous and know how to treat guests right. The food is excellent, well prepared and presented. No cutting corners here. Everything about this place spells quality. The bed in our room was a double and a bit snug but very comfortable. My only teeny tiny reason for a teeny tiny whine was someone forgot to turn the heat on the first night. Once I whined about being chilly, this was rectified. Thanks for a marvelous stay on Achill. You're a national treasure and a fabulous representative for irish hospitality.

Ate here twice over the season and both times the food was excellent. Clean plates for all three courses and I was stuffed by dessert! Lovely service from really friendly staff. Beautiful location.

If you’re seeking a serene and picturesque place to stay while exploring the beauty of Achill Island, look no further than the Achill Cliffhouse Hotel. From the moment we arrived, our group was treated with exceptional care and warmth by the Cliff House team. Teresa, Kate, and the entire team were truly outstanding hosts.
The food was not only delicious but also prepared with freshness and skill. Portion sizes were generous, ensuring we were well-nourished after our adventures, climbing Slievemór and Craughan.
Our spacious and immaculately clean rooms provided a comfortable haven. The beds felt like clouds, offering the perfect respite after our outdoor advebtures. And speaking of views, the hotel’s location just minutes from the beach allowed us to soak in breathtaking vistas. Whether it was the rugged coastline or the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, the scenery was nothing short of amazing.
But what truly stood out was the genuine Irish hospitality. The Achill Cliffhouse Hotel embodies the warmth and friendliness that Ireland is renowned for. We left with hearts full of gratitude and are already looking forward to returning soon.
If you want an authentic Irish experience, I highly recommend staying at the Achill Cliffhouse Hotel. It’s more than just a place to rest; it’s a retreat where you’ll feel welcomed and cherished.

This might be the friendliest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Visited on a family trip for two nights over a weekend, we had three rooms and ate in the restaurant both nights. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent and well priced.
The service was impeccable throughout and it was nice to see trained staff after a poor experience at the Belfast Hilton on our way over to Achill. The rooms were spotless, with comfortable beds and good showers. There’s no getting away from the fact they’re dated but everything worked and they’re a very generous size. All in all a lovely stay and I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Stayed here over the weekend and would highly recommend. Staff are lovely & very friendly. Rooms are quite basic, but have everything that you need. Bed is large and very comfortable. We eat in the restaurant on the Friday and it was gorgeous, we wished we had eat there both nights. Steak & salmon were 10/10. Location is perfect, about a 2 minute drive to bars such as Amethyst & the Annexe and about a 10 min walk. Large car park also. Perfect spot if coming to Achill and price was quite reasonable, especially for the location. If you aren't staying here, I would highly recommend to pop in for your dinner reservation!

This little hotel is possibly the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The ladies on reception are so friendly & welcoming-really helpful & full of chat. It is situated facing Keel Strand & is a very tiny walk from a convenience store & bars/coffee shops. Delicious fresh breakfast. Slept like a log thanks to the fresh air & total silence
