Achill Cliff House Hotel & Restaurant in Keel-dooagh

We had originally booked for six, but one of our guests couldn’t make it. Despite the change, the Owner was incredibly accommodating. We dined in the hotel restaurant and had a meal for five, all different dishes and every single dish was excellent! Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, I would highly recommend a visit to their restaurant but book ahead. Overall we had a great weekend on the island and the Achilles Cliff House Hotel was definitely a contributing factor.

Couldn’t fault our stay in the Achill Cliff house. Bedrooms were big and spacious, beautiful views, lovely and clean. Breakfast was amazing, tried everything throughout our stay. Would recommend the smoked salmon, delicious and the portions were huge ! The hotel itself is located in a very handy spot for the Achill Golf Club, or the beach. Would definitely stay here again. Staff were lovely and very welcoming.

This was one of the best hotels we ever stayed in. Brilliant service, warm friendly reception, very clean spacious room (5) with tv and all usual comforts. Towels changed and beds made each day. The outstanding feature was the dining area and the huge choice on the menu including breakfast. The range of seafood choices was heavenly and the quality and presentation was excellent. We enjoyed our 3 day visit and would happily return again. Well done Achill Cliff House.

Booked dinner here per Joyce's Guesthouse recommendation. Well done! Monkfish was FABULOUS, as were the mussels and lamb. Charming staff.

Nice place to stay but dinner was overpriced and very bland. Good appetizer but salmon and lamb were the overcooked. Potatoes and veg boring. Dessert was ok. Disappointing and expensive.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here. Our experience from check in to check out was amazing. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their hotel and restaurant. We highly suggest staying for a few days to a longer visit based on their service, high standards, and central location.

I arrived late in the afternoon driving from Dublin and wanted to make haste to run up to the summits of Croaghaun. The inn-keeper was really helpful letting me in on where the locals would start a climb and gave me some tips on the local area for post run food if I got off the mountain in time. The mountain was amazing and the tip to start where I did while challenging was incredible! Coming off the mountain I was a wee bit late to find an open restaurant but the hotel restaurant staff (seeing that hungry-bear look in my eye) offered to make me the most amazing post run meal-perfectly cooked local salmon, potatoes, and veggies and of course a Guinness. All the staff was very warm and welcoming throughout my stay and the local people of Achill are a warm bunch. The room was perfect for my needs, clean, comfortable bed, and a hot shower. The room could be updated in style but it was still warm and inviting and thats the charm. Breakfast was also very delicious. Thank you for accommodating my short stay!

Wrapping up a two week trip through Achill, Doolin, Killarney and Dublin. Hands down my favorite stay: friendly staff, beautiful location, and probably the best view from any dining. The dinner is very popular and very tasty. We hope to come back. Really a gem.
