Great food, the warmest welcome, and generally great crack altogether.

I love the atmosphere in Connaughtons, Peter, Loretta, their family and staff provide beautiful food,a relaxed atmosphere and lots of craic for their customers. I love it, Thank You all.

The atmosphere is okay. Service was amiable and welcoming. Food was good. Cannot comment on the rooms since we only dined there.

Enjoyed myself there today. Owner very chatty and helpful. Good value. Very clean. Free parking on the roadside and also a car park for the hotel. Worth a visit.

Vicky and I stopped by Achill Sound Hotel for coffee and scones, and we had a delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm, the staff were friendly, and the scones were delicious. Highly recommend for a cozy pitstop!

We popped into the bar for a quick bite in between lunch and dinner. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Stop in and stay with them and grab a pint and food. They have a platter with various seafood. The smoked salmon was incredible!

We stopped in at the pub for a late lunch. My wife and I both ordered Fish & Chips. Probably the best Fish & Chips we have had in a long time. Tartar sauce was fresh, tasty and perfect.

At 61yrs young it was my first ever visit to Achill Island despite only living a few hours away. I have to say the Hotel is a little dated ref décor and furnishings etc. But this only adds to its charm . it's spotless, big comfy bed , fresh fluffy towels . And an amazing big hearty breakfast all included I'm my room rate of just €75 for one ptfor one night. A double room rate of €120 for 2 sharing with breakfast is also available. The view out my Bedroom window was so beautiful A family run hotel , the staff are so friendly and give a great service. I've attached some videos of the hotel and achill . Enjoy

Nice coffee area and lovely host. He could chat for Ireland. Clean and traditional with amazing paintings by Irish artists as decor. Would visit again :)

Try out the sea food salad. Perfect for quick bite on way before you start towards Keem or Doogart. We stopped by for a pint of Guinness & ended up spending 2 hours . Cozy old pub. Plenty space for seating & parking.
