Al Fresco in Malahide

We had burrata and garlic bread for starters, and pizza, seafood spaghetti and ravioli for mains. Everything was amazingly good. The service was super friendly and very attentive at all times. We recommend it 100%, we will be back.

They were able to sit us (group of 5) without a reservation on a Friday night. The positives stop there. We were sat outside under a tree that provided freshly grated bird feces at a table that was not wiped down. No worries, the waitstaff who were giving their best “this is my first job” impression had no intention of cleaning it off. Moving on. We had finished two bottles of wine before having our order taken (at least an hour in). The wine was good, but likely because they had nothing to do with it besides opening it. The food was mid. Could be better, could be worse. Cherry on top was the order of bread that we placed resulted in 3 pieces of raw bread (literally dropped in a toaster and called it a day) for a table of 5. Safe to say we didn’t stay for dessert. At least they were able to sit us on a Friday night with no reservation. In hindsight, not a surprise.

The restaurant is a bit old, but it is well managed and has a classic feel. It is a bit small, but it is not uncomfortable. All the food we ordered was delicious. I especially liked the lasagna.

Always glad to come back. Never had a booking and always they were able to get us a table, service is great food better.

Nice atmosphere and good Italian food—nothing over the top, but enjoyable. Prices are a bit high, though expected for the location. Service was excellent and very welcoming, definitely the highlight of the evening. Only downside was being charged €3 per bottle for filtered water without being asked—two bottles were brought out and barely touched. Still, a good experience overall. Thanks to the staff for the warm service!

Chooooos, brutal child. food wonder

From the moment the Italian gentleman welcomed me into the restaurant after seeing me view the menu earlier, to the exceptional service, attentiveness and kindness shown throughout the meal and an insistence that I could stay on as long as I liked (as a solo traveller in a new town that was really appreciated) to the fabulous range of gluten free options. I couldn't fault this restaurant at all. The food was yum but the kindness of strangers made it for me. You made an old woman very happy, especially on the eve of Mother's day when you were so busy. You went out of ur way to look out for me. It meant a lot. Thank you so much.

was here last night with 4 of my friends, I've been a few times but this is the 1st time of left a review. I can't recommend this place enough. I had Burrata for starter, it was delicious. my friends had Arancini and they said it was fabulous. I had rack of lamb for main and it was cooked to perfection. we shared a homemade tiramisu and it was the best I've ever had. keep up the good work Tony
