Alchemy Coffee Cork at the Marina Market in Cork

Delicious coffee and deceptively tasty cookies. We had the lemon poppyseed cake and the caramel pecan brownie.

If you are looking for a place to have excellent coffee and spend a relaxing afternoon, Alchemy Café is a great choice. Located in Marina Market in Cork, this café offers a wide range of coffees, teas and cakes. During the summer, they also offer a menu of iced teas and matcha drinks, which are perfect to cool down during a heat wave. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the authentic decoration and, above all, the excellent customer service. The staff are kind and create a welcoming atmosphere in the café. I decided to order a green iced tea, which came with a slice of lemon, and a piece of banana bread; I could not have made a better choice. The iced tea was refreshing and perfectly balanced in sweetness, and I have no words to describe how delicious the banana bread was. Despite this, my only complaint was that the tea came with too much ice. However, next time I will simply ask for less ice, as this was only a minor issue. Overall, this place is amazing and is a lovely choice for a day off or spending time with friends. Whether you are a coffee lover or simply looking for a relaxing place in Cork, Alchemy Café is definitely worth a visit.

Fabulous coffee and really nice staff. Got a iced oat matcha latte and an iced oat latte. Both delicious. The coffee was really smooth. We were there Wednesday lunchtime and the queue was tiny and moved fast. The treats looked delicious but we didnt indulge but we'll be back to try them out.

Recently visited this place, and while the overall experience wasn’t great due to the staff’s behaviour, it ended up being strangely entertaining. One staff member, Conor, spent most of the time complaining about his bosses and nearly broke down talking about how his father doesn’t speak to him. An unusual character for sure — not exactly professional, but definitely memorable.

Best coffee in town, zero doubts. The pastries and sweets are very good. The staff is always friendly and nice.
