A simple but interesting museum with an audio tour included in the entry fee which mashed a change from lots of reading. Good to visit before walking around the mine sites.

A comprehensive, yet concise overview and history of the copper mining industry in Allihies. Worth the time to visit. Really well done! Also appreciated the highlighting of Butte, Montana, where so many Allihies families emigrated to.

A wonderful museum, lovingly created and easily understandable thanks to the audio guide. There's also a very nice café offering gluten-free pastries and coffee with oat milk.

19/08/2026: The food was absolutely amazing. The best food ive had out in a long time. Expensive but well worth it.
26/07/2026: Overall the experience is OK, but it is definitely overpriced for what you get. The portions are tiny, food is nice but nothing special. We got the bavette which was good but very small and the monkfish, fresh nothing special, it came withe peppers and I didn't like them. Not much choices from the menu.
