Last night my husband and I had dinner at Alma’s. It was a special menu celebrating Blas na Bealtaine festival and the menu was Portuguese from Brazil. Alma’s is beautifully decorated and the owners are so welcoming. The tasting menu had 4 wonderful tasting which we really enjoyed. I enjoyed watching them prepare the food from my seat and meeting the Chef when he came out to check on everyone. Brazilian music was also being played and he was great. I enjoyed listening to him sing while playing. I would highly recommend Alma’s and if back in Galway would definitely return. Thank you for a great evening.

We expected a good restaurant and we found a hidden gem. The decoration was cool, the ambiance peaceful , the treatment of the waitress was super nice and the food was amazing. They have a very short menu with 6 plates We ordered one of each except for the salad and we decided to order two more plates after that amazing taste. If you go to Galway and want to eat slow tasty food this is a very good option. Specially our favourites the pork and the seafood rice including handmade juices.

A lovely Portuguese restaurant owned by João & Márcia. Our dinner was excellent, the ambience was very nice and the service was wonderful! We had a great experience and we highly recommend it!

Delicious moqueca and cod dishes! Pleasant environment, the food was fresh and the pastel de natal was incredibly tasty! We couldn’t ask for a better last meal in our stay in Galway. Márcia was so attentive, friendly and polite! Not pictured: CaipiWine, a mix of caipirinha and wine, I loved it.

This place was amazing. I don’t have one complaint about this place. The food was spectacular. The server is the wife and her husband cooks, it shows. They love it and in turn, I loved it. Go here. Small and spectacular.
