A really lovely spot for a good wholesome bite to eat. Very tasty food, reasonably priced for the lovely dishes served up. Great service, the gentleman serving us was very polite and friendly to all customers and helped to great that lovely relaxed atmosphere. Coffee 👌 holidaying in Schull and this place was so good, we travelled back a couple of days later, we enjoyed it that much 😊

This is a perfect spot for a bite of grub and a bit of people watching. We sat outside the front for breakfast. You are on the main square of the town and it's brilliant watching the hustle and bustle. I ordered a coffee and my parter ordered a scone. As the order was taken, a server brought out another item so I ran in to change. The staff were so nice and had no issue changing my order. We ended up getting the breastfast trio. What a delight. In 3 parts, the first was granola and yogurt, the second was a lovely croissant and the third item was a glass of fresh fruit. Unbelievable. Very plesent experience and I can't wait to go back. The other stuff they have looked incredible. Fresh west cork food.

The Restaurant at Liss Ard

20/10/2024: WOW. Full disclosure, I am a mid-budget traveller. I don’t stay in hostels but I am not a luxury hotel person. I lucked out for a one-night stay in the Lake House Cosy room- basically the lowest budget room on offer at this grand estate- and was fully blown away. The Manor House is stunning and gorgeous, and the staff was so attentive and friendly while my partner and I gawked at the crackling fire, full bar, and luxurious common area surroundings. When we drove up to our own accomodations at the Lake House, the room was incredible. Claw foot tub with brass fixtures! The other guests were friendly too. The view in the morning of the fog coming off the lake was to die for. The breakfast was the best meal I’ve had in Ireland. The grounds, even in frostbitten early fall, are gorgeous. Truly a five star experience.
