Arán Artisan Bakery & Bistro in Kilkenny

We came to Kilkenny for the food festival and came across here on our first day as we were staying nearby. The absolute best 👌 it's so so good! We didn't go anywhere else for coffee or pastries. The coffee is fab, the breads and pastries are unreal and we had breakfast on our last morning at the Bistro. Without a doubt one of the best if not the best breakfast we have ever had. We both had the breakfast sambos and it was amazing. Fab food, excellent service and just a gem of a place. Credit to all who work there.

Lovely place to be, amazing food the staff are so friendly maybe pre-book as it can get busy I was just lucky to get a walk-in.

Stopped by Arán Artisan Bakery & Bistro food was nice, but the service was excellent and the coffee was spot on. Really nice team and relaxed atmosphere. All in all, a good experience.

Lovely food but the portion size is way too small. I have no problem with anything else. It is not cheap but the quality is top so fair enough, just portion size of the dish I got was a couple of tablespoons. Even my tiny daughter-in-law who eats tiny amounts thought it was small and she usually eats kidsize portion of everything.

A very nice Cafe, the food and the coffee are great, also the chicken was halal.

I didn't like the food, but that's a matter of personal preference. The staff was friendly and the place was clean.

Unique Brunch place with an unique artisan bakery just right across the street. Always great vibe, special dishes on the menu. I love it!

Best breakfast/brunch ever! The food was a work of art, coffee was great and the service was really good too. Shame we don't live in Kilkenny to go more often, but will definitely be back again.

We heard about this place from a local so were excited to try it during our brief stay in Kilkenny. I'm so glad we stopped in because man is it delicious! We had a short wait for our table, so I'd recommend making a reservation if possible. I opted to get the seasonal Ube French Toast and my date got the Breakfast Sambo. I was blown away by how good the French toast was and my date and I swapped plates for a bit so I also got to try the Sambo and it was also fantastic. I highly recommend the Sambo if you're in a savory mood and the French toast for a sweeter palate. The service was very friendly and the vibe is great, being surrounded by local chatter during your meal. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Kilkenny looking for a local favorite.
