Arán Artisan Bakery & Bistro in Kilkenny

We came to Kilkenny for a day trip from Dublin and decided to have brunch here — and I’m so glad we did! Everything we ate was Michelin star-worthy, both in taste and presentation. I loved how they managed to bring together different flavours on a single plate so harmoniously. The atmosphere of the place is really lovely and welcoming, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt genuinely special. Great value for money as well — the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommend

Excellent spot in Kilkenny, I’ve eaten in the restaurant a few times but 90% of the time it’s takeaway from the cafe part. The pastries are divine, always fresh. Leo such a perfectionist barista. Place is always busy and always sells out , tells its own story really. Callum loves his tunes here in the morning 😀😀

We had the most amazing lunch at Arán today. The menu has plenty of offer and something for everyone. I went for the Buddha bowl which was 10/10 - everything was fresh and well thought out. I also sampled a little of the toasted special and it was delicious. So rare to talk about the bread being the best part of a sandwich because its so often overlooked but this bread was delicious. So much so we went over the road to the bakery for a sourdough loaf to bring home. We also got some hot-cross buns and some cakes. The cakes were a real disappointment though as the carrot cake is either undercooked or looked like it had been previously frozen - either way it was stodgy and inedible. We only noticed when we got home so unfortunately it went into the bin. Highly recommend the lunch but have a second look at the cakes before leaving.

Great place for a sandwich and a coffee! We got a lunch deal for €9.99 which was great value for a huge sandwich and great coffee. Better still they use SQUID loyalty (which is how I found it) and so I got my stamps too!

The best food and team in Ireland. The menu never disappoints and they’re always so kind to us and our families. Our absolute favourite spot!
