Ashley Hotel in Cork

Even though we only spent one night there for sightseeing purposes... we found it charming, comfortable, and very hospitable and kind, all the service, Ciro is a very kind person and a great conversationalist... thank you

This is a very charming, quaint hotel. It is in a great location. Far enough from the main thoroughfare that you don’t get all of the city noise, but close enough to walk and enjoy downtown.

This place is great and definitely underrated. The staff is VERY kind and helpful! The hotel itself (while a little dated) is clean, organized, and in a great spot in the city of Cork! I'd recommend this place to anyone!

It was amazing. I would have to say the service was what made it the highlight. Everyone was so kind and helpful and communicated with me and it’s really nice just to have good people that can make you feel comfortable and familiar in an unfamiliar country. The rooms were basic, which is OK with me. The hotel had an old anti The rooms were basic, which is OK with me. The hotel had an old antique feel which I liked. They had a living room which I really liked. I spent a lot of time meditating in it. I don’t need top-of-the-line anything I just need somewhere nice where the beds are clean and the rooms are clean which all that was sufficient .honestly thought I just need to add another review or add to my review.. what I really like. Is the home feeling of places I stay and good company and good people. I must say I received that here and that’s what makes my experience is the beautiful people and how they treat you. How could you ask for anything better in life?

I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The girls at the reception were lovely, and both the room and bathroom were very clean. It’s a budget hotel, so don’t expect 5 star service if you’re not paying for it. But honestly, it was perfect for our weekend in Cork, it suited us really well

Location is ideal, walking distance or short bus ride to everything you need. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are not the most modern but it was clean and had amenities such as kettle and hair dryer.

Firstly it’s a 3 star hotel so anyone staying here don’t expect the Hilton and up to date facilities, it is what it is. I Stayed two nights and I found the room to be small, clean and comfortable. The hotel itself was clean and tidy but outdated with some wear and tear evident. There was some sort of leak (radiator) as my carpet was damp on the right hand side of the bed so I could not stand on that side as my foot got wet. I found the staff friendly and helpful and the bathroom was quite nice and updated with a nice walk in shower. There was a small square window which had no cover or curtain so that made me feel a bit exposed and uncomfortable but the other big window in the room had blinds and curtains. The hotel was booked under the consumption it did meals however it was stated in a welcome email (after it was booked) they did not provide meals and only a continental breakfast which was disappointing however there is plenty of eating options around town and nearby restaurants,shops and so on. There is a multi storey car park nearby which is handy for parking and the hotel can offer discount on it. Overall I found the hotel decent with a sense of effort from the staff and environment (trying to do the best they can with what they have).
