Athlone Springs Hotel in Athlone

We stayed at Athlone Springs Hotel recently and overall had a really nice experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, which made a great first impression. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Our room was comfortable, although there was a small issue with the heating/cooling system. It didn’t affect our stay too much, but it’s something that could be looked at. One thing that stood out was the balcony — the room is listed as non-smoking, but there were cigarette remains left outside, so it would be good if this area was checked and cleaned more regularly. The leisure centre was a highlight. If you go later in the day (after 4 or 5pm), it’s and not too crowded, which makes it perfect for relaxing in the pool or sauna. There was a wedding on during our stay, so there was some music, but this is clearly part of what the hotel offers and it didn’t disturb us. The food was very good. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. Some dishes had a slightly spicy touch, which we actually enjoyed. I was especially impressed that my steak was cooked exactly as requested medium, perfect. Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly service, good food, and great facilities. Just a couple of small areas for improvement, but nothing that would stop us from coming back. Thank you💓

I attended a conference here this week and had a lovely lunch in the bar. My waitress was so kind and attentive- I’m not sure of her name but she was working Monday 23rd around 1/2. I have a gluten sensitivity and she went and asked the chef what I could have, she also did it very discretely which I really appreciated! The food was lovely! Thank you x

We arrived yesterday for a two-night stay to surprise my mum for her 60th birthday, and the experience has been fantastic from the moment we got here. Every single member of staff we’ve encountered has been incredibly accommodating to our large group. From the reception team to the bar staff, waiters and waitresses, and even the pool staff, everyone has been welcoming, friendly, and always smiling. The level of service has truly stood out. The rooms are lovely, and the food—both dinner and breakfast—has been excellent. It’s not often you come across such consistently great service these days, so this has been a really special experience. We would 100% come back!

Very helpful when my car was out of Electronic Juice! Be aware charger at SuperValu does not suit Nissan car. But manager was helpful at Athlone Springs Hotel. Appreciated 😊

A lot of the rooms are in need of a refresh. It's clean though and the staff are very good. The food though is only average and being a bit outside athlone it's the only place you can actually eat unless you want to drive in.

Very kind and helpful team, the gentleman darren was particularly helpful with everything, would definitely recommend.

hotel is clean and tidy, beautiful location shop only around the corner leisure centre also very good to relax and enjoy a swim, james the manager is also well spoken and looked after us the whole time while there making shore everything was perfect
