We had the best St Patrick's Day at The Auld Shebeen Moate.
The staff and atmosphere were brilliant - really looking forward to going back and trying the food.
The staff were so lovely and welcoming. I had lunch there today and it was absolutely beautiful — freshly cooked and served piping hot. I’m really looking forward to trying more of the menu. The prices are very reasonable too, making it definitely worth a visit for a lovely lunch. 🥰
Great place to stay if visiting Moate. Rooms were finished to a very high quality with comfy beds, loads of amenities, clean and quiet. Staff from the cleaners to the bar staff were very friendly and even got a tour of the wedding venue by the owner.
18/07/2025: Great atmosphere, delicious food, great drinks, and friendly personable service. Wife and I visited Athlone from the UK and were so glad we came here for lunch, highly recommend.
02/05/2025: We had lunch here last week, I had the beef. It was definitely the nicest beef I have ever tasted. So tender and tasty. I have had other meals here in the past and the food is always fabulous. Desserts are really good also. I could not find fault with anything in The Shack! Staff are super efficient and very friendly. Would definitely recommend it.
