Avoca Fern House Cafe in Kilmacanogue

A super beautiful restaurant 🍴 The food portions are relatively small; adults need to eat two courses. A summer set menu for two courses costs €36. Next to it is a large shopping mall in Avoca, with green areas and indoor and outdoor gardens; home goods and clothing; and a cafe where you can order coffee and meals at similar prices, but the food is more like a quick grab-and-go option, similar to a canteen. It's not the same place as the restaurant.

Some excellent food there but I definitely wouldn't recommend the chowder as it was laced with salt.

Nice and pieceful place for dining within a future, surrounded by tall windows and trees of different origins including palms and exotic plants. Food was descent with a touch of professional chef. I really enjoyed experience.

Beautiful lunch here today in the most beautiful surroundings. Staff were all so friendly and attentive. The shop and garden centre were well stocked with fab goods

The Fern House restaurant is part of Avoca, stores and garden centre. It best to book this restaurant for lunch, as it can get busy. The layout, ambience and decor are lovely and in keeping with the rest of the Avoca style. Views over the gardens are beautiful too. Staff was nice and the menu quite limited. We ordered cod which came with crispy bacon, both very good, the sauce the fish was placed on was a little under seasoned. For dessert we sampled one custard dish and a chocolate dessert which was quite dense. Overall a nice experience.

First and foremost,the atmosphere is amazing. Exactly dining pleasure..The food looks ordinary when you look at the menu first, but the combination of different tastes are worth to try. My favourite is avokado toast for breakfast and must try Irish Veggie Breakfast. They work reservation based but the stuff is very friendly and helpful even you dont have a bookin,sure they will try to do arrange a table.

Attached to Avoca with a swankier upmarket vibe. The menu was straightforward with 5 mains. We had steak, fish and burrata to start. The food was good, the service was excellent despite being busy. Nice grounds to explore also with some fairly epic trees!!
