Service here is still a bit disjointed & feels iffy at breakfast time, food was good but overcooked fried eggs on the breakfast muffins really just let them down - if you order these, you may need to specify how you want your egg if you're one of those 'egg-yoke-drip' lovers

Lunch the last few times was disappointing, lacked flavour, especially the mushroom tagliatelle, didn’t appear to have been seasoned at all. The setting is lovely and service is good but not worth the price.

Avoca cafes are always high quality and this one has always been one of fond memories as I have been coming since I was a kid.

Really impressed by our lunch here yesterday. The menu is small enough but everything we had was excellent. Formule mains we had beef shin, duck and chicken pie. Fantastic sides really made the meal. Bread and butter pudding was delicious. Kids had melting chocolate dome - pretty rich but they finished it nonetheless! Mains around €21-€27. Beautiful surroundings.

Have been here several times, but sadly it has gone downhill quite a lot. Restaurant was not busy, we were here for a birthday celebration as a party of 3 and were looking forward to it. Our waitress took the orders but did not use a note book. She also said she would come back for the wine order. The starters arrived after 15 minutes, at which time we reminded her about a wine order. One of the starters was a wrong choice, but nobody came to check if we were all good. Subsequently I was offered a replacement starter but it would have taken too long so we battled on. Mains were good if the duck was a bit over frazzled. When my wife went to pay she did not notice she had been charged for more wine than we had had, she was promised a refund, overall a forgettable experience from a venue which once delivered consistently.
