Ballyseede Castle Hotel in

Ballyseede is a great option if you want a castle stay while you are in Ireland. Amazing rooms, fantastic breakfast, and great service. Be sure to find the Irish wolfhounds that live on the premises.

Reception was not friendly, but was efficient. Stayed in The Lodge, room is comfortable, but TV stations limited. Mainly RTE, we could not watch Wimbledon. Dinner and breakfast was excellent, with very good service.

Our family stayed in a family room- the room was amazing- and it was perfect there were separate beds for our kids. The property is beautiful, the staff was very friendly. I can’t wait to come back to Ireland so we can stay here again.

This was way more affordable than expected and probably our favorite place to stay in our trip. The castle and its grounds are beautiful. All the staff were awesome, knowledgeable, and friendly. And the fine dining restaurant was great. For sure the best meal we had on our trip and worth the extra. But even the more casual restaurant food looked great. We’d have a hard time not staying here again if we came back to Ireland

I stayed at Ballyseede on the 6th December 2025. I'll first start by saying that the building itself and the grounds were incredible! Like stepping back in time and into a fairytale. The decorations inside the castle were stunning and I loved all of the paintings and history throughout. The service from reception staff, bar manager, people who helped with bags, service staff, and restaurant staff was impeccable!! Honestly, whatever they are all being paid, give them a raise because the experience that i had was made 10/10 because of them. They worked hard, fast and wwre so lovely and polite. Thank you to you all The room was Honestly incredibly beautiful. It was very clean, almost spotless and the room i was given had a stunning view. The bathroom was so beautiful!! And the shower was so nice!! The mattress and pillows were super comfortable. Dinner was exceptional. I am vegetarian and they accommodated for me well. The desert was average, a little dry. The continental breakfast the next morning was pleasant. As a solo traveller, this is not the right spot though. There weren't any activities and as there was a wedding on that day, the grounds felt restricted. I arrived early to explore but felt there wasn't anywhere i could go so stayed in my room until the wedding had finished photos. But at this point, the sun was down. Unfortunately, and this is definitely not the fault of anyone in the hotel, i experienced a night terror about the room i was in 😳 it was so scary it woke me up in the middle of the night and I really wanted to leave. I had to sleep with all the lights on 😂 I don't even believe in these kinds of things!! But i am 100% certain my room was Haunted 😳. So, it's nothing against the service but it was a super scary sleep, and can the hotel please tell Hilda to stop scaring the guests 😂

Just an incredible estate. The grounds are beautiful and staff extremely friendly. There are wolfhounds roaming the property which was a cool touch. The rooms are stately and absolutely massive. Beds are really comfortable. I couldn't recommend staying here enough. Awesome place!

The castle is fantastic, and has lovely restaurants and a bar the looks like one world expect in a castle. The restaurant and bar service were excellent! We stayed in the lodge in a spacious and comfortable room.

Loved our experience at Ballyseede castle. The castle has the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. It is perfectly located for exploring County Kerry. And its impossible to beat the resident dogs!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Ballyseede Castle! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We ate all of our meals on site and everything was delicious! Thank you, Esther, for helping with local recommendations in the area as well! We loved the resident irish wolfhounds on site, too!

Rory, his wife and his team are amazing!! We had stayed here dozens of times over the years. Each time my wife was off chemotherapy or when we had visitors... this was one of our main places to stay. Thank you to everyone for your kindness and hospitality my dear friends. Slàinte Mhath ☘️
