BAR 1661 in Dublin

1661 is not a good bar. In terms of staff knowledge and hospitality it’s the best experience in Ireland. In terms of quality of product and innovation it’s the best bar in the world. It’s a fabulous bar.

Great bar with some really interesting cocktails. The service was impeccable as well. We will definitely go back the next time we're in Dublin. I'd recommend making reservations.

The most amazing intricate cocktails. The attention to detail is unmatched. My personal favourite was the cocktail called ‘Parts unknown’ it was essentially a spicy mango margarita and it had a blue salted rim on only half the glass so i had the option to enjoy the sweet cocktail without the savoury salt. The vibes in there were dark, cosy and almost mysterious. Highly recommend

The best cocktail bar in Dublin! A beautifully curated menu that has something for everyone. Each cocktail is as beautiful as it is delicious. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Thank you for being a port in the storm for this traveller.

Very cool spot to check out! - Wide variety of crafted drinks to choose from. - Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. - it’s all about the crafting of the drinks here, making things interesting & fun. - I personally didn’t like most of the drinks I ordered however that’s my own taste buds so I recommend checking them out and deciding for yourself.

Hands down the best bar in Dublin. Great service from knowledgeable and engaging staff. Cool vibe with a changing menu so there is always something to come back and discover. Booking is recommended but they can sometimes accommodate small parties for a short time.

This was one of THE best cocktail bars I’ve ever been to in my life. Working in hospitality you end up rating bars and taking notes, however 1661 was utter perfection. The drinks have an insane amount of prep behind them and it doesn’t go unnoticed, they were 11 out of 10. Each drink had a master class behind it, with Stefi & Dean giving an in detail explanation and story behind every cocktail. We also received a whole masterclass into the world of poitín and its history from Stefi which was very insightful and engaging. Then I personally asked Dean for an Off menu cocktail and he delivered a Hazelnut Poitín Old Fashioned which blew my mind. The Menu was a proper fully illustrated book which that alone was awesome to read. All cocktails laid out in full detail and ingredients on show, no secrets, just a bar knowing it’s brilliant and sharing that with the world. If you are industry and want to have an engaging, informative and all out great time, a proper place to just kick back and enjoy cocktails, go to Bar 1661. We traveled all the way from the UK for a holiday, but I would travel from the UK just to come back here. 10 out of 10. Thank you Stefi & Dean! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
