BAR 1661 in Dublin

The most masterfully crafted cocktails!! Our server, Shane, was absolutely delightful. He gave recommendations that surprised us with their great flavor!

Everything was absolutely amazing. Being a fan of craft cocktails as well as being a veteran bartender, this place had the perfect balance in every category. Staff was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable and the cocktails were so well executed, creative and balanced. It’s hard to find a bar that checks all the boxes from hospitality, quality and design, but bar 1661 managed to exceed our expectations. It’s easy for places of this caliber to be pretentious and uninviting, but this was not the case in the slightest. We loved everything so much our first night that we had to come back the second night in town to have one more Irish Coffee. Whenever we get back to Dublin, 1661 will be a must stop.

Exceptional cocktail celebration the likes of which I’ve never experienced before. Ostensibly created to elevate and celebrate Poiton, often unfairly referred to as Irish moonshine (but surely the model later employed in Appalachia and beyond), 1661 was the year this magical, powerful elixir was outlawed by the English (then) rulers. Many of the 18 core drinks feature poiton which is unique enough, but in no way are limited by it. Suffice it to say the creativity and unique ingredient combinations are inspirational is an understatement. Simply, these folks have vision and palate beyond compare. I’ve been told it’s the best cocktail bar in Europe; I can’t better it on either side of the Atlantic.

These bartenders take pride in their craft. Creative, precise and knowledgeable. They have a unique list of cocktails and deliver exactly what you’re looking for. Great experience

I visited this really cool place at the recommendation of a good friend of mine. The bartenders and staff are incredible. They are pros at what they do. The food and the service is absolutely unreal. The Belfast Coffee is incredible. Anyone visiting from outside Ireland MUST come here! I visited all the way from Canada and I will definitely be coming back!

This is hands-down one of the best spots for cocktails in Dublin. The menu is incredibly innovative, with unique recipes for every drink, including their exclusive spritzes. Each cocktail is a genuine surprise of flavor. The only minor detail is that the food could be improved, but it's clear their passion and focus are entirely on serving top-class cocktails.

The cocktails were fantastic but be prepared to pay a premium rice to match. My only complaint was between the music being turned up and people having to yell to hear each other it was way to loud to be enjoyable. Would return to try a few more of their concoctions.

The cocktail selection is outstanding, the menu is one of the most comprehensive and fascinating I've ever seen, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming.
