Bel Cibo in Dublin

It's a good restaurant, the food is good for the price, but sometimes the staff are a bit cold and unfriendly.

Fabulous experience at this beautiful restaurant. Wonderful staff, Therese went out of her way to provide us with a table during a very busy time. Delicious food, wine and even a hot chocolate for the kids. Couldn’t recommend enough!

We came back to this restaurant to relive the early days of our relationship. That was quite a few years ago, so expectations were high and nostalgia was fully activated. My wife ordered the mushroom and chicken risotto. I went for the seafood risotto. Simple, classic, can’t go wrong… except I didn’t get risotto. What arrived was a seafood fettuccine. I was mildly disappointed, mainly because I had risotto on my mind and, let’s be honest, sending food back feels like unnecessary emotional labor. Then I took the first bite. Instant redemption arc. That disappointment turned into something close to poetry. Hands down, the best seafood fettuccine I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked pasta, rich sauce, generous seafood, everything balanced and done right. And I say this as someone who has eaten his fair share of seafood pasta over the years. What started as a mistake became a memorable win. A happy accident that I’d gladly repeat. Highly recommend the seafood fettuccine, even if you think you want the risotto. Great atmosphere, fair prices for Smithfield area, and a place that somehow managed to surprise me in the best possible way. And yes, the chicken funghi risotto was awesome too. ☺️
