If you forget to book a table at a restaurant and don't have time to wait, I recommend Fish & Chips. It's quick, the wait is short, the food is delicious and the portions are generous, and they also have hamburgers and vegetarian options. In short, it's great value for money!

The onion rings are highly recommended. Everything is delicious and the portions are really large – easily enough to share even if both of you are hungrier.

📍 Location & Ambience: Located right on the beach along the Dublin coast. ⚠️ CRITICAL SEAGULL WARNING: Do NOT attempt to eat your food on the beach! The local seagulls are relentless "gangsters" that literally flock by the thousands to snatch food straight out of your hands - they even stole my tartar sauce right off my tray! The staff are super understanding and replaced my sauce free of charge. 🍛 Food & Value: Paid around €20 total for a full cod meal with chips, tartar sauce, and mushy peas: The Cod: Phenomenal, fresh, and perfectly cooked - moist on the inside with a light, golden batter that is super crispy and not overly thick or oily. Truly one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The Chips: Freshly cut from real potatoes, perfectly crisp on the outside and wonderfully soft and fluffy on the inside. Tartar Sauce: Included with the meal and fantastic - well-balanced with a nice touch of sourness rather than being overly sweet. Mushy Peas: The only weak link. A bit bland and lacking flavor, so you can easily skip this side. 🤵🏻‍♂️ Service: Incredible hospitality. The service staff are extremely sweet and accommodating, even going out of their way to give a free replacement sauce after the seagull mugging ⚖️ The Verdict: Top-tier, world-class fish and chips by the Dublin seaside.

Best please to eat fish and chips

A really good fish and chips spot in Howth, in a great location right by the sea. It’s takeaway only, but there’s a nice park just opposite where you can sit and enjoy your food with a view of the harbour. There’s usually a queue, but it moves pretty quickly, so you don’t have to wait long. Prices are reasonable for the quality and the portions are generous. I went for the classic cod, chips and mushy peas and took it over to the park on a beautiful sunny day. The only downside was having to defend my food from the very hungry seagulls! 😄 Definitely worth stopping by if you’re spending some time in Howth.

Very good, with batter and crispy potatoes. Italians will find it pricey, but the portions are more than generous.

We enjoyed the fish and chips here. It's expensive, but it's in a convenient spot and good quality. There's a few places to sit and eat over by the harbour.
