Disheartened. Can’t complain about the atmosphere or the service - it was alright. The food though was very disappointing. One thing was consistent - the sauce never blended in with the pasta or the prawns or the chicken or the fish. The chicken in the pasta was overcooked as well. Don’t think we will be visiting soon.

Food was good & tasty. Starters of mushrooms was 4 halves of medium/small mushroom - Could be slightly bigger please. Surf & turf was solid, steak slightly medium as opposed to requested m/rare. Tiramisu tasty. Would recommend as local. Not expensive but not cheap either.

Peaceful atmosphere, lovely welcome. Let's talk about the rib eye, perfectly cooked, full of flavour, succulent, accompaniment of veg and mash were perfectly cooked al-dente (veg) and creamy(mash) pepper corn sauce was up to the same standard, I eat out probably twice a month and this is the best restaurant meal I have eaten this year. Bravo

My flight out of Dublin got turned around due to a maintenance issue and we were put up in a hotel in Dunboyne late in the evening - the steakhouse had noticed several people in this situation and stayed open late to make sure everyone could get a hot meal. On top of that the steak, soup, wine, and sides were fantastic! Cooked a great medium rare and appropriately seasoned - the owner really helped turn a cruddy day into a positive one!

I'm currently staying at the Dunboyne Castle Hotel for several weeks, and the steakhouse is just a short walk away, so I tried it tonight and I must say I wasn't disappointed. The service was friendly. The interior is fine; I ordered a 16oz T-bone steak, and it was cooked just right. The sides are okay. I would have liked to swap the peppercorn sauce for something else, but that's just how it is. All in all, I'm really very satisfied and will be visiting this restaurant again soon.

Lovely food, with a really nice waiter, who I think was the manager/owner. He could not have given us more attention. However, his friend came in talking on FaceTime, which really disrupted the atmosphere. Then someone else was watching videos on his phone - maybe banning load volume on phones would add to the atmosphere - otherwise, all good

Had a fillet steak, asked for medium done, unfortunately it was overcooked. Prawns were nice. Staff was quick tho and fairly pleasant. Name steakhouse does not suit the place. Sorry but would not go back.

The food was absolutely delicious, the waiter was so nice and attentive, the moment that he saw my mom and stepdad trying to share food he offered plates to share the food without us asking, he took good care of us. Will definetely come back. We had the 8oz Steak, Ravioli and pizza, I tried all 3 and they were delicious. It is a small place so when its full of people it can get a bit noisy but there's not much they can do about that. 10/10!
