Bistro Bianconi in Sligo

We rang and had no problem getting a reservation and the man on the phone was very helpful. We arrived and they were extremely busy but the atmosphere was unflustered and calm. The service from our waitress Catriona was outstanding and added to the total enjoyment of the evening. The recommendations for food, wine and cocktails were brilliant and the quality, presentation and flavours of the food were amazing. Service was timely and staff were extremely attentive and took everything in their stride with a smile. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a special evening, good quality food and brilliant service in a relaxed environment. Catriona is an asset to the restaurant.

Exceptional service for dinner in a charming place, in an intimate atmosphere and with delicious food.

We had pasta and pizza to go, everything was wonderful! The pasta with spinach and mushrooms was available vegetarian and very tasty!

We didn't have a reservation on a Friday evening but they were still able to fit us in 45mins later, which was fine, we walked around outside and went into a bar for a drink. Time passed by quickly and we returned to get our table. The lady who took our name the first time we were in greeted us upon our return and was nice and friendly. The place was fully booked and I knew by the reviews that it was definitely a place to experience. We both enjoyed one of the special starters, burrata and then we had different pizzas. I had the chicken, mushroom and pesto and my partner had caramelised onion, pepperoni and goats cheese pizza. My partner enjoyed a regular glass of the house malbec wine. We would definitely return, we loved the decor and the feel of the Italian authenticity. We found it on the pricier side but it was definitely more than worth it!

Always have to get a meal here when we travel to sligo. Amazing

A charming place with excellent service. The pizzas are very good and the staff is outstanding. The owner is very friendly and managed to feed eight of us without a reservation, even though the place was packed.

We had the Bianconi pizza and the lasagna, and both were excellent. After traveling around Ireland and trying Italian food in several places, this was definitely one of our favorite meals. The pizza had a great crust with quality toppings, and the lasagna was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. What really made the evening stand out, though, was our waitress, Isabelle. She was genuinely kind, friendly, and attentive without ever feeling over the top. She made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down, and that kind of service is something you remember long after the meal is over. Thank you, Isabelle, for making our last dinner in Ireland such a great experience. We’ll happily be back the next time we’re in Sligo.
