Our experience could have been better. Food was great we had salmon and fish and chips very good. Service, not so much. They stuck us in a room with no one else and stank like piss (beer yeast) waitress came took our order and never came back until she brought the food about 20 mins later. She did get us beer but I also wanted a whiskey and had to go to bar and get myself (not a tragedy) but not great service. It seems like it could be a cool spot just wasn’t for us but food was great.

We stopped in to look for some food. We were told the kitchen closes at 7:45 PM. So a helpful reminder for people heading this way. make sure you get here before that time. It was 815 so we missed it! Maybe next time.

Gluten free Irish stew, bread & a good cider in a proper old Irish pub - Ace. Take a head torch if you haven't the eyesight of an Owl.. just in case they seat you nearer the kitchen.

16/09/2026: We rang and had no problem getting a reservation and the man on the phone was very helpful. We arrived and they were extremely busy but the atmosphere was unflustered and calm. The service from our waitress Catriona was outstanding and added to the total enjoyment of the evening. The recommendations for food, wine and cocktails were brilliant and the quality, presentation and flavours of the food were amazing. Service was timely and staff were extremely attentive and took everything in their stride with a smile. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a special evening, good quality food and brilliant service in a relaxed environment. Catriona is an asset to the restaurant.
05/09/2026: Caterina was fantastic and she did amazing job with serving us. Pat was lovely and seeing the owner engaging with us was an added bonus! Thank you, from the Aussies !!!
