Blake's Bar in Galway

Lovely bar and cosy staff were brilliant

From moment we walked in service was above par. Packed place but found us a perfect seat. Our waiter,Allen, was super friendly and shared a lot of information with us. He made our night out super fun It was me, Grandma , with my 20 yo grandson. He us a number 1 waiter for sure. Thank you. LaRues

Lovely place to eat and great staff

Gave us a warm welcome. Delicious lunch (mussels, fish and chips) and great atmosphere. A really nice introduction to Galway.

I have a coffee or a beverage at Blake's Bar sometimes and I genuinely do like the staff. The manager is a gentleman. I was having a bad day today and he gave me a nice cup of tea without charging me. I was actually very touched by his act of generosity, kindness, Human Decency and Respect that let's be fair, most or nearly all workers in restaurant/bars, even cafes do lack nowadays. This is what's missing in people today but it's nice to see these traits are still in some people. It costs nothing to be nice and treat someone with respect! I'm very happy and comfortable to come here for my cuppa coffee or pint every day or two. The manager along with naturally friendly, working hard staff (including the chefs and kitchen porters in which I have the odd chat with) are great overall. Atmosphere is dead on, friendly and cheerful.Its a more than a top place to dine out in. Child/family friendly but people can have the craic having a few pints/cocktails too. The banter! There is a healthy balance of the place being sophisticated yet fun! Overall it's my favorite place to chill and have my cuppa coffee in by far! I would recommend 100% to all people.

Lovely food, great service. Helpful, friendly staff. Great steaks, but had chicken dish this time - also really good.
