Excellent accomodations and the food is delicious too. Great location and easy to walk to center town.

A chalk and cheese experience! I visited this hotel over 2 years ago for an event in the area and I swore I would never return. That time the service was awful, staff would not look at you and the food terrible, well below par, the bar area grubby and unloved….. fast forward to last week when left with no other choice but to meet a friend there and what a surprise I got. The entrance was welcoming from the off, a roaring fire on a miserable night. A completely revamped bar area that was clean and looked after. My waitresses were friendly and efficient and my food was amazing. I am not often blown away, but kudos to this business for the complete turnaround. I now would have no hesitation returning when in the area.

We had a great night at the Brandon for my father’s birthday, 20 of us. it’s been a while since I’d been but had heard from a few friends recently who were saying how lovely it was up there so we gave it a go. We were not disappointed, the food, the service, the atmosphere was really lovely. Warm and welcoming. We only booked last minute too but a lovely menu to suit all ages of the family was provided and a surprise birthday plate was organised for my dad. A lovely night was had by all and I would highly recommend.

Just back from a lovely family weekend here. Grandparents, ourselves and the kids. 5 stars all round. Kids had a ball, so much to do for them, kids club, swimming, playground. Food was great, every meal we had was top notch from breakfast to dinner. But what made this hotel was the staff, always smiling and so helpful there was lovely buzz about the place.

The swimming pool and facilities are amazing

Could not fault this place except for a mix up on our booking and the way we were made feel. We requested a cot bed on the phone a few days before arriving, was told it would be no problem but then there was none available when we arrived, we were kind of made to feel this was our fault as we didn’t initially note it on the booking which is true, we only remembered a few days before. Anyway this made our sleep for the 2 nights a bit uncomfortable and not ideal as our 2 year old then had to sleep in the bed with us. Even if we were told on the phone there was none we could have borrowed one from a friend for the weekend but the attitude was not at all helpful. The room though was really lovely -and we found the housekeeping staff very friendly and helpful on the way, chatting and laughing with the children. My wife did have to call down to reception for some extra supplies later in the evening as no one was answering the phone and she felt staff there were very rude and again she was made feel like a hindrance for a second time there. Aside from that the food was fantastic, we had the family meal deal on the first night, great value and ideal for a fun meal. Next night we ate from the bar menu, it was all very tasty and the portions were great. The staff in the bar are amazing, they literally cannot do enough for you and were fantastic with the children especially Eowyn. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel. The quality and choice on offer is really amazing, the kids loved the smoothies and the waffle toppings area, a real treat….. our son said he would come back to this hotel a million times for breakfast and again the staff here, Conor in particular were brilliant. The pool area and kids club were also a big hit with great activities such as mini cooking and movie night. So yea overall despite a few of the staff needing some extra customer service skills we would recommend this hotel.

We visited the Thermal Suite recently and loved it. On arrival we were told it wasn't very busy so we could stay longer than the 2 hours so we made the most of it. Afterwards we enjoyed dinner in the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, spacious room, nice buzz about it, we will certainly return.

Amazing stay that we even stayed an extra night ! Kids loved every bit ! Staff a so lovely to our crazy girls ! Loads to do and food is really nice too ! We will definitely be back thank yous very much

Would highly recommend A hotel with personality. Feels homely. Gorgeous room. Staff fantastic; professional, polite, and friendly, we were blown away with the quality of service, so attentive. Food is delicious throughout, an extensive wine list.
