Brandon House Hotel & Solas Croi Spa in New ross

Grey walls and black carpet in corridors 😩😩- very depressing - lot of grey /Black in Reception😩 Hotel looks tired - needs bright colours - Ladies changing rooms at swimming pool need a good steam cleaning- dirty walls behind seating. My dinner was delicious despite not getting mash potatoes?? - with the turkey asked twice - never came. Coffee/tea facility in rooms - which is great - but no biscuits! It would have been a nice touch.

Certain rooms have outside noise from 4 a.m.

Spa seems to do only treatments that they have decided...couldn't get want i wanted...even though we booked ahead...

What an amazing hotel. Rooms were extremely clean, staff were all so nice and welcoming. Food tmwas amazing and the Spa is definitely worth a visit. Pool and gym area were great. Will be back for another visit in the near future

Stayed for one night, reception staff very helpful and pleasant. The place was very busy no room to eat in the restaurant or to sit have a drink unfortunately. Tried to order room service on 4 occasions but was told they were to busy which was very inconvenient as we had to drive over half an hour away to get a decent restaurant. The hotel needs to prioritise the residents staying there not the people who are just popping in for something to eat or drink . The girl who answered the phone about the room service was very polite and apologetic but we could here the manager or bar manger who job it is to organise this say we have no staff . It was very unprofessional and we would not return. If your paying €172 for a room for the night as a resident you should be treated better than this . Also the road up to the hotel beware of the potholes its more like a country lane .

We had an enjoyable stay here with our three children. The family rooms was superb and spacious. It was very warm which is a good complaint. They have a nice big swimming pool and kids loved it. We ate in both the bar and restaurant. The restaurant is better in our opinion. The food is nicer and service is good. Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel especially for families. Staff are friendly and provide a good breakfast.

My partner surprised me with a New Year’s Eve stay at the Brandon House hotel. The hotel itself is lavish and lovely with lots of comfortable little lounge spaces, a restaurant, a pub and other amenities. The room was comfortable and spacious while the bathroom had a great shower and was also lovely and clean. The only negative in the whole space is I wish we had a small fridge in the room. The spa itself was amazing, cozy and relaxing and had all the amenities you need. The spa was also surprisingly very affordable too. The hotel breakfast was absolutely amazing - the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had and had a massive array of offerings for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. Thanks Brandon house for allowing us to ring in the new year in the best way possible!

both me asd my wife stayed here for one night it is somewhere we have always wanted to stay. upon entering the hotel you are welcomed in to a nice bright reception area and the staff made us feel very welcome, we checking in and went to our room, upon entering the you could see that it was very clean if a little out dated but the thing that puyt us off was this room at sometime had a wall going through it and even tho they have attempted to remove it they didnt do a great job as we kept tripping on the footing of it hidden under the carpet, as i said the room were a little out dated and could have done with a coat of paint and some of the tyles in the bath room were chipped and missing bit leaving sharp edges which you could have cut you feet. So we got settled and desided to go for a swim again the pool area could have done with a bit of a spruce up but it was nice none the less but the waterr was freezing cold, although at time we did feel a little imtimidated when we went to use the jacuzzi because there was a few (lets say undesirables in there) so we just left. later we went to the restaurant for some food we were shown to a table given a menu and and asked if we wanted anything to drink we gave our drink order but had to wait 20 mins for thast to arrive we then ordered are food starters and main the starter came quickly b ut half way throught the starter our main course came the the gire had to takle it back to the kitchen once the starter was finished the main came out at you could tell it was clearly left under a heat lamp because my stake which i asked for raw was almost well done so i think there was a bit of a break down in communcation in the kitchen but we had our meal retired to some cosy seatws for a few more drinks. the next morning after a really good nights sleep we wenty down to breakfast and have to say this was the saving grace the breakfast was amazing and coulnt be faulted in any way. on summery this is a nice hotel if a little dated and in need of some work the staff were all very kind and helpfull and made our stay pleasant and i would recommend this hotel
