Bresson in Dublin

Lovely as always and great food lovely atmosphere. Staff all so nice and helpful.

Everything was superb. One star less on food because of the amount of salt in the house-made salted caramel icecream.

I think I would agree with previous reviews that felt this restaurant failed to reach the Fine Dining standard. I started with Cave Aged Blue Cheese & Red Wine Poached Conference Pear, with Walnuts & Beetroot. Followed by JJ Young's Irish Black Angus Chargrilled 10oz Sirloin with Mashed Potatoes. Both dishes were lovely as was my dessert, a Burnt Basque Caramel Cheesecake. I found the service excellent and Ella was charming. I felt the piped music was unnecessarily intrusive for the time of day and the prices very much on the high side, for what it was. But I would go again!

We had a great time at Bresson, and the restaurant made a great impression on us from the moment we got in. We were greeted by friendly staff, the food came quick and was just perfect, there isn’t a single bad thing we can say. Just an amazing experience with amazing food.

I have never had a bad experience in Bresson. From the warm welcome, the comfortable seating, the great menu, it is so relaxing and enjoyable, a great place to meet friends and share a good meal.

Food was OK but nothing special, it’s a nice restaurant space located in the centre of monkstown village, but the athmosphere and staff lack the finesse required to elevate to of a fine dining restaurant. More so a family brasserie. The French onion soup was disappointing, based on a beef consumme, the onion was was a dark stewed consistency.. I’ve had countless onion soups, it wouldnt rank favourably. The veal was good- tender and cooked well. My colleagues had the duck which they loved , but the real disappointment was the apple tart tatin… basically stewed apple, with a caramel type sauce, no pastry to speak off. Hard chunks… really not good, we left it behind after 1x taste. The pastry chef really needs a refresher course… The main waitress was a nice person and chatty , but there we were more often topping up the wine despite 4x staff passing by our table every minute. Just lacking attention to detail I’m afraid. Appreciate it’s a hard time for restaurants but good service costs nothing. €550+ bill for 4x incl winen& tip. t thet level of spend, it’s an OK-ish from me..

Fine dining at it's best, great atmosphere, excellent food and wine, friendly helpful staff to a high standard... we'll be back.

This is a hidden gem, the food was delicious, the staff were great, the atmosphere was so lovely and it’s Amazing value. A really specials day out
