Brewery Corner in Kilkenny

15/11/2024: What a beautiful establishment in Kilkenny. We walked by many times and finally went in to grab some lunch. Good service and a much larger seating area (several, actually) than you’d guess from outside. Very well done interior and the food was good and reasonably priced. The lunch menu was pretty limited though. I’m sure dinner is more expansive.

13/11/2024: I came here on a Tuesday evening with my wife and we had a fantastic meal. Our waiter Joseph was very friendly and helpful. For starters we had the potato and caramelized onion soup and the black pudding with pea purée. The soup was exceptional and the black pudding was surprisingly light and beautifully complemented by the bright and earthy pea purée. For the main I had the beef cheeks which were tender and rich, my wife had the mushroom ragu with crispy gnocchi which was also richly delicious. We had read great reviews about the sticky toffee pudding and they were all correct. It was probably the most sublime sticky toffee pudding I have ever tasted and the lemon cheese cake was awesome (my wife’s favorite). Do yourself a favor and get to Statham’s, the food is amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality.
