Back to The Tap for another lovely lunch - I've had the chicken and bacon pie several times, it's always good. I've also had the fish and chips a few times and that too is reliable and tasty. Always a nice pint of guinness and the place is always busy.

Was there with a friend and cant fault the food, was fabulous. Staff were great at first but as we sat and chatted after finishing food they kept trying to take our cup/glass, checking on us but bothering us way too much. Then one girl asked will she bring us the bill. Took the hint and left after paying

Bang Thai

22/12/2025: I was looking for somewhere for breakfast in the north of the city and found Bang Bang via social media. It is a great spot with a real community feel, loads of local produce and artwork on the walls. We had a breakfast bap (which was good value and absolutely delicious) and a coffee each. There were loads more options available. It’s a small space but we had no problem getting somewhere to sit. I would visit again in a heartbeat
19/11/2025: Incredibly warm and welcome service and atmosphere. The cafe was busy with locals which is always a good sign. I had the vegan mac and cheese which was the best I've ever had.
