A friend recommended Muldoons, so we drove an hour for a fairly average dinner. The location is fine, and the service was friendly . My fillet steak was simply not a good cut , it was surprisingly fatty, although cooked well . Frozen chips in a restaurant are a simple no for me . Muldoons, to be fair, was busy, so I assume we just were unlucky, but I doubt if I would return unless I was passing through Ardee.
Called in for lunch, the food was generous in portion size and absolutely delicious, Lasagne was homemade, came with an option of chips or potato and veg, a big meal that would fill any large gap. My chicken salad was freshly prepared with crispy lettuce and delicious cherry tomatoes etc and a generous helping of chicken. Highly recommend. Friendly staff and lovely decor. We will be back.
