Bricin in Killarney

Bricin's high rating is well deserved. Super friendly and efficient staff and cosy characterful setting. The owner? got a quick history out of us on the way to the table, then introduced us to a couple of locals dining nearby. We quickly made a connection and had a wonderful chat during dinner. My only criticism is the food comes out a little too quick, and all together. I don't know if it's an Ireland thing, or we've just been a little unlucky. Australians like a gap between starters and mains, and if you're smart you'll want to drag out your dinner here at this wonderful restaurant. The Boxty was fantastic. If we lived close by this place would be a regular. 5 plus stars.

This was a cute place and the food was decent. I got the chicken Boxty and it was good! I don’t think I would get it again but it was good for what it was. My husband got the Hake and said that it didn’t have much flavor. It was pretty loud in the large room we were seated in. I wish we could have been seated in the other half of the restaurant that seemed quieter.

Bricín was an absolute standout during my time in Killarney! I started with the mussels and followed them with the lamb boxty, which was nothing short of phenomenal. The lamb was beautifully prepared, and the subtle curry sauce brought everything together perfectly without overpowering the other flavors. Every bite was so enjoyable that I genuinely didn’t want the meal to end. I love when a restaurant combines unique flavors in a way that feels perfectly balanced, and Bricín absolutely nailed it. One of the most memorable meals of my Ireland trip. Highly recommend!

I am happy to give a tip, and in this case, it was appropriate. However, I do find it annoying when it is explicitly asked for.

I made a reservation here and was seated right away. It has a charming atmosphere. Catherine was my server and she couldn’t have been more lovely! She actually brought me a photo book of Ireland that I could flip through while I was waiting for my meal. I got the three course dinner which was tasty and very filling. I would definitely recommend.

Exceptional food and service! Great front of door welcome from Johnnie who was interested to hear all about us and take time to ensure our table was ready and welcome us. Our waitress was Catherine and equally exceptional, warm and lovely and kept great service to all the tables she managed. You might not know this great restaurant was here as you need to go through the gift shop on the ground floor to get to it. I guess many folk do you know it though as it was busy with happy eaters! The decor and paintings are really interesting and some great history shared in there. If you've not had a boxty (Irish potato cake) before, highly recommend you try one! Highly recommended!

You need to make a reservation for dinner. The lamb chops were definitely the star of the show!!! Eat here at least once if you're in Killarney.

Excellent dinner in wonderful surroundings. But the best part of all are the people who look after you there. One piece of advice is it's popular so book up in advance.
