Bricin in Killarney

The food was good but expensive. I came here on my honeymoon and made a reservation/ reached out to arrange something small beforehand. Happy to pay for it as well. Was told I would have prosecco at the table and this request was not honored when we arrived. I mentioned both my name and that I was here on my honeymoon upon arrival. Nice place for dinner, but would not recommend for special occasions or celebration.

We hosted my daughter's engagement dinner here during a vacation to Ireland back in 2011, and we still talk about the meal to this day. The steaks were hands-down the best we have ever had. The fact that we still remember every bite 15 years later says everything you need to know about the quality here—simply unforgettable! Thank you

The food here was genuinely very good, but the service completely ruined the evening. Having gotten so used to the Irish hospitality where everyone has been so warm and nice, this experience came as a very unpleasant surprise. When we first arrived, the older gentleman who checked our reservation and seated us was lovely and welcoming. Sadly, the mood changed as soon as our server took over—she seemed short, angry, and cold from the start. I made an effort to be extra courteous and give her the benefit of the doubt, but her attitude only worsened. First, I ordered the warm goat cheese salad, but they were out of it. As I took a moment to look at the menu to pick a replacement, she grew visibly impatient. It certainly wasn't my fault that an item was unavailable, so the annoyance felt completely misplaced. Later in the meal, I tried the soda bread for the first time and really enjoyed it. When I politely asked if I could get just one more piece, she angrily snapped that I would be charged for it. I told her that was completely fine and to go ahead and charge me—which she did—but her demeanor was entirely unnecessary. It was a tiny piece of bread, not an entire loaf, and a simple, friendly "Just so you know, there’s a small extra charge for additional bread" would have gone a long way. While I can't say the restaurant is overall "bad" because the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing, a server’s attitude can make or break an evening. She spoiled what should have been a great meal, and for that reason, I won't be recommending this place.

FANTASTIC! Best meal we've had in Ireland, no lie. The chowder was killer, the soup of the day was killer and, of course, the boxty with chicken and creamy tarragon sauce was... killer. Loved it.

We didn't visit the restaurant on this occasion. But we have in the past and it was exceptional. The gift shop is worth a browse to see "quality" Irish gifts. The majority of which are made in Ireland too. Lovely staff who helped us out too when we had questions. Eileen was very helpful.

My mum and I loved it so much we booked for the following night before our mains had even arrived! The staff are wonderful - friendly, hardworking and take great care. Irish hospitality at its finest! The manager, Johnny, took time to speak to us to gave us some fantastic local recommendations for our trip. The food was delicious, especially the traditional Irish dishes such as the boxy. Can't recommend enough. Thanks very much.

Dare I say one of my favourite Ireland restos !!! The chicken boxty was a delight as was the sticky toffee pudding. The euphoria from this sticky toffee pudding was indescribable. Just perfect.

Visited Bricin in June and the food was fabulous! Very good prices for such good quality delicious food! Went back again when we stayed in July, food was excellent again! Pork apricot is the best thing I’ve ever eaten, steak cooked perfectly aswell. Desserts are delicious! Staff are so friendly and service is quick! Cant say enough good things about this place and will definitely recommend to anyone! I’ll be back next time I visit Killarney
