Bridge Resturant in Ballincollig

We used to go here often as kids with our family. But it had been a long time since we visited. We recently dined here and I personally won't be returning. I ordered the beef without realising the price (€28) as I had seen it was an option and beef is my go to in other restaurants so I automatically ordered it. There was no flavour to any of the food. The mash and veg were bland, the beef was bland and slightly tough and the gravy was bland and thick. I honestly can't understand how they charge so much for this when plenty of other restaurants serve beef for much less and it is much nicer to eat too.

Family looking desperately for some rest, good food, polite service and clean toilets, all were found at this delightful place, outstanding service& food, from the exterior the place looks very humble but the minute you step inside the cleanliness and service was great, the menu was simple but wholesome and cooked beautifully, will come back the next time I'm in Cork, its worth the travel out of Cork city to have such a warm atmosphere and good food!!

I always love coming here, but this time surprised me. I arrived in at 3:15pm only to be given an EVENING menu. I asked about the lunch menu and was told that it was now the evening menu.....there's a first time for everything at a quqrter past three..... ,So i ordered vegetable soup and this was pretty much an overpowering celery soup (vegetables i guess). It was ok (even though i really do not care for the taste of celery), i put up with it. The only "choice" on the specials board was was a steak sandwich at 5c short of €24. Main courses were 5c short of €20. My wife ordered chicken gougons (quite delicious), finished her plate and waited for service (to order coffee & desert). After 15 minutes of waiting and trying to attract staff attention, we got up, paid & left .....(without coffee or desert). Staff were lovely and very attentive upon arriving and first ordering, though afterwards their focus seemed to be on any new customers arriving and getting a first order in. On our way to a nice coffee shop now (for dessert & coffee), but will be back another day & earlier in the day, if we can.
