We were on a driving tour of Ireland with friends. Staying at the nearby Glasshouse we were looking for a restaurant for dinner that was close by. The exterior was unpretentious but once inside there was a pleasant ambiance. Service was very attentive and the food was good. I had the tempura prawns as a starter which was huge and very tasty. For main I had the slow cooked beef which was also nice. All our party enjoyed the meal.

It’s not my first time here . The food in this place is perfection from the starters to the desserts. The staff were fantastically friendly and patient. And the price was the same as a burger and chips round the corner. This place is by far the best food in Sligo, maybe in the west of Ireland.

Very nice well prepared meal. Service was average, nothing over the top to set it aside, however there are no complaints at all about the food and how it is presented. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend.

Wonderful food, very kind waiters. In Italy it could aspire to a Michelin star, it offers refined dishes and truly high quality raw materials. Excellent value for money, some dishes were worth much more than their price. The girl who served us is lovely. If you pass through Sligo you absolutely must go!

We enjoyed a really delicious, early bird dinner in Bridgefoot House yesterday. The Chef was accommodating with our food preferences, the food was cooked to perfection and scrumptious! We would highly recommend.

11/09/2024: It's fifty years since I last ate in this Sligo institution, and it was delightfully old fashioned even then. I was amazed to find it unchanged! The decor is lovely, with an airy cafe feel, though they've added a little extension. Packed to the door with locals - always a good sign - we were lucky to get a table. (It got a lot quieter at 2pm as everyone returned to work.) I wasn't expecting much, but the food really does taste homemade ! Quite how they manage this I don't know. We had the steak & mushroom pie and the glazed ham. Both great value for money. We highly recommend Lyons cafe for lunch.

Riverside Restaurant

09/01/2025: One of the best hotel i have stayed. Very delicious food friendly staff, a very special mention to Danielle in reception. Highly recommend and definitely will be back soon
