Great steak but service left a bit to be desired.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary at Brookwood on Baggot Street, and we couldn’t have asked for a more memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel immediately at ease — their professionalism and kindness truly enhanced our evening. We opted for the Tomahawk for Two deal, which included a generous Tomahawk steak, fries for two, two sauces, and a bottle of house red wine — all for €99.00. It’s an incredible value, especially considering the quality of both the food and service. While we had requested the steak to be cooked medium, it arrived slightly more on the medium-rare side. However, the flavours were so rich and the meat so tender that we decided to continue without sending it back — and we’re glad we did. It was absolutely delicious, expertly seasoned and perfectly complemented by the sauces and crispy fries. What truly touched us was the thoughtful gesture of a complimentary dessert to mark our anniversary. It was a lovely surprise and added a personal touch to an already special night. Brookwood strikes the perfect balance between an upscale dining experience and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s clear that the staff take pride in making each guest feel celebrated, whether it's a regular dinner out or a once-in-a-lifetime occasion. We left feeling full, happy, and genuinely appreciated. We’d highly recommend Brookwood for anyone looking to mark a special occasion — or simply enjoy a high-quality meal with excellent service in a stylish yet cozy setting.

Ein exzellentes Steakhouse mit allem was man sich wünscht. Sehr gute Steaks, alle Beilagen die man sich wünscht. Offene Küche wo man sehen kann wie das Essen zubereitet wird und eine sehr gute Auswahl an Bier und Weinen

Excellent food & service with the lunch menu being good value for money too

Absolutely beautiful food. Lovely place for a special occasion or an extra nice treat. The people that work there are lovely . Can not say enough about brookwood!! Love it !!

The servers are very nice but service is incredibly slow borderline neglectful. The manager noticed I needed something before the servers. I was only given 1 refill of water in almost 2 hours. For a steakhouse, they can cook the meat to perfect temp and their peppercorn sauce was great. Unfortunately the cut of meat they gave me was at best stew meat quality as it was the end cut of the ribeye with easily 2 oz of sinew that I couldn't chew and the meat was as chewy as German beef. Don't bother it isn't worth giving them another chance. They didn't even take off a percentage of the meal. It is sad the meal was so bad and the service so slow as the place is cool and people are nice.

Came for the Sunday roast and was not disappointed! The plate was beautifully put together, especially the mash (my highlight). The beef was perfectly cooked and tender, and the veg was delicious, paired well with a red wine jus. It also comes with a a horseradish sauce that wasn’t for me personally, but otherwise this was a really solid roast and I’ll definitely be back! Small note: there’s no beers on tap, only bottles, but their menu in general is more catered towards wine.

Real relaxed restaurant Food was top tier We got a table where we could see our steak been cooked, it was great, Staff were exceptional and very welcoming and I even got some cake for my birthday 🎂 I would highly recommend this steak house to anyone and we will definitely be back

Had our daughter’s birthday celebrations here recently. Must say that we had a wonderful evening. The food was top notch, delicious steaks, duck and fish. The service was really friendly with a bustling and warm atmosphere. Highly recommended.
