BRú bar And Hostel McCurtain Street Cork. Nice bar nice helpful Staff great bar to watch Live Sports on one of their Many Widescreen TV's! Plenty different types of Alcoholic beverages! Seating inside and outside! Outside seating well Covered from weather elements! And also a popular Hostel for any weary Traveler or Tourist can get a bed for the night and enjoy live music most nights in the Bar Downstairs! Well worth a visit! Close to Bus station and Railway Station too! only walking distance from the City Centre!

Friendly approachable employees. Bar Keeper friendly with guests, public. Musicians hired for occasion entertainment commendable. Welcoming.

Quite poor quality/price. Correct and clean double room with private bathroom. Noise was a problem during the night as other guests who arrived during the night were very loud and sounded like they were inside the room, waking me up on several occasions. Breakfast was included and was adequate with a short but sufficient selection. The best thing was the music group that played in the bar during the afternoon.

Great place to stay at Cork if you don't mind staying in a hostel. Super friendly staff.

23-24/10/2024 A cool place to stay, friendly staff and clean. The only problem is that some guests seem never consider other guests. Their hygiene is so bad (Feet and body odour). I stayed in 308, one guy made the room smell so bad. Thank God the other guy had the guts to tell him about the smell of his feet.

Spend 2 nights at Brú Hostel. We did not need to use the kitchen, or common room but from taking a look they seemed well stocked and comfortable. We did visit the bar downstairs which offered good drinks and music. The hostel staff and service were all impeccable, everyone was kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The light morning breakfast is very appreciated. My only complaint are the bathrooms. The showers have no temperature knobs which made it nearly impossible for me to shower as it was so hot I felt as though I was getting burned additionally, the water was on a timer so every 12 seconds (I timed it) you had to press the button again. The bathrooms also lacked anything to dry your hands with. There were no paper towels, or hair/hand driers which meant that our hands were always dripping on our way out. I understand there are cost and water saving efforts made but for the price that Brú charges per night, a shower you can adjust and something to dry your hands with is unnegotiable.

Good set up & great value I will stay again for sure

No hot water in the shower, the mattress was too firm and my neck and my back were hurting Staff was nice and helpful You have to pay extra for luggage storage

Great hostel in a very good location, plenty of breakfast and friendly and helpful staff!
