Buckley's FX Restaurants and Bars in Dublin

We go to this pub for seafood chowder and Oysters. The portions are decent and price is as well decent. They have a good selection of drinks and Guinness is very good.

Had a great trip home to Dublin and stopped into Ryans on Good Friday for a proper steak. My partner had the chicken dish, which was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. I went for the 500g striploin, asking for it to be cut narrow and thick—like a New York strip, which is my preference. They absolutely nailed it. The steak was perfectly cooked and they made the effort to find a cut that matched what I was after, which I really appreciated. Paired it with a lovely Malbec that worked perfectly with the beef. Top tip get the deviled kidneys starter Our server—a Hungarian gentleman whose name I didn’t catch, was excellent: attentive, friendly, and clearly knew his stuff. We got chatting about dessert wines and he brought out a bottle that wasn’t even listed on the menu. A 2016 Château Laville Sauternes, and it was exactly what I was looking for—spot on. The dining room is warm, cosy, and full of old-school charm. Ryans has a real character to it. The bar downstairs is part of the same place and just adds to the experience. It’s a stone’s throw from the Guinness Brewery, and the pints there are some of the freshest and best you’ll find. If you’re in Dublin and in the mood for a great steak in a proper setting, Ryans is absolutely worth a visit.

To begin with, the place is wonderful, the staff is very professional, and the food is luxurious, very traditional Irish cuisine. We were delighted!!!

Great food and wonderful atmosphere on a fine day!

Great steaks, exceptional chips, good selection of wines by the glass, a bit quiet but it was Sunday evening. Would definitely return.

We went to the restaurant with a reservation. The food was very good, except for one appetizer which was mediocre. The three stars are for the ATROCIOUS service. We were served by a waitress who acted terribly and almost threw the plates on the table when she brought them. Unacceptable for a restaurant of this kind.

One the day in question they were short staff upstairs but the girl was so professional you would not notice food was so good and quality if I was to pick out a fault was no veg with the food extra price if wanted I paid 65 euro for a 12oz steak cooked to perfection would recommend and go again thanks for a great day also great bar downstairs keep up the good work

Nosotros, 2 adultos y 2 niños almorzamos aquí y fue la mejor experiencia gastronómica que tuvimos en mucho tiempo . . la comida era genial, tenía una camarera italiana encantadora que nos sirve . . a un precio muy razonable, la sopa de mariscos era genial, el bistec era genial, el desierto era excelente . . recomendaríamos encarecidamente

La comida suele ser muy buena en F. X. Buckley. Esta noche el filete ribeye estaba excelente, pero las patatas fritas estaban pálidas y podría haber hecho con un poco más de tiempo en la grasa. El postre crème brûlée y helado eran tan buenos como se llega a cualquier lugar. Mi principal decepción fue el servicio, que ha sido excepcionalmente bueno en el pasado, pero en esta visita pasó de ser eficiente y atento a distraído y casi grosero. Mi principal preocupación fue el tiempo extratroardinario que tomó producir el proyecto de ley, que fue de casi treinta minutos. Si el restaurante hubiera estado ocupado lo habría entendido, pero solo quedaban cinco personas, incluidos nosotros tres. Tuvimos que empezar a levantarnos para irnos antes de que las dos camareras dejaran de charlar y centraran su atención en nuestro pago. ¿Por qué? ¿Qué sentido tenía ignorar nuestras reiteradas peticiones? La molestia estropeó una buena comida. No nos dieron una disculpa y no recibieron una propina. Buscaré mis filetes en otra parte en el futuro.
