The owner, a unique and cordial barman. Interested in his customers and interesting. A pint was offered free gratis, (don't count on that being repeated or expected!) the offer was generously accepted but then before leaving, the price of the pint was returned (by me) as a deposit on my definite return, when I again visit Castlebar, which of course I will!! Never lose a wager. . Charm and stories abound, I wouldn't doubt in this real genuine public establishment.
