I recently visited Cable Cafe in Oval on a quiet Monday morning, when it seemed every other place was closed—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the wonderful staff, Millie and Alex, who truly made my experience memorable. They provided fantastic customer service, making me feel like I was catching up with old friends rather than just grabbing a drink (wink wink!). Millie and Alex were both incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm, bringing such a positive energy to the cafe. Their dedication and love for what they do shine through, making Cable Cafe not just a great spot for food/drink, but also a lovely part of the community. It was such a wholesome experience, and I left with a smile on my face. If I ever find myself back in Oval, I’ll definitely be stopping by again! Honestly, Millie and Alex are such a credit to Cable Cafe—they deserve a pay rise!

Love it here. A really vibrant bar with incredible energy. They do charcuterie and cheese boards and a range of drinks too. During the day you can get coffees and cakes and they also you can take your laptop and work from there!

Lovely place. Good value drinks and food friendly staff and a nice little garden at the back.
