Cafe Mexicana in Cork

This restaurant boasts stunning decor, where every detail has been carefully considered and the ambiance has a distinctly Mexican feel. I'm vegetarian and found several options. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly.

There were four of us French people looking for a good value restaurant in Cork at 8:30 pm... After being turned away from pubs and other restaurants, we stumbled upon Café Mexicana. What a pleasant surprise! Everything was perfect: the welcome, the service, the warm atmosphere, and the excellent food! Homemade dishes, and what can I say about the homemade desserts? We didn't know what to choose... A special mention goes to the Banana Bailey's with its warm homemade chocolate sauce and three scoops of vanilla ice cream. A dessert like that in France would cost over 10 euros! Thank you, we'll definitely be back!

Great quality Mexican food at reasonable prices in a nice atmosphere.

The only thing is that customers leave the door open at the table by the door, and it gets cold, but the waiters try to close it. The food is excellent.

A cozy café serving excellent Mexican food. We shared the Quesadilla and Bean and Corn Chips appetizers then split the Pork and Chicken Tamales. Everything was very tasty loved the Salsa Verde and the pitcher of Sangria (good value that gave us four glasses). It would have been five stars if some of the food was served hot and extra salsa brought to table. However, the cafe was very busy with every table taken and people standing in queue on Valentine's Day. So I'm giving them leeway. The seating area is a little tight but had the best spot with our table next to the windows. I felt the place could have been a little more kitschy feeling like you're dining in an authentic cafe in Mexico.

We went for a family lunch and the food was fantastic, beautifully presented and everything was delicious. We were very well served by an Italian waitress who made an effort to speak to us in Spanish and understand us. The atmosphere was lovely, the decor was beautiful, and the dishes were incredible. We loved it!
