Best roast beef in ages, few euro more but well worth it

Great food but very poor service.

We had booked a table for 2 for dinner last night. The staff were very friendly & their advise & guidance on the menu were excellent. We are not new to Callan's so I was very disappointed to see how dusty it was. There was dust on the ledge beside where we were sitting & cobwebs on the decorative brances & throughout the ladies toilets. I know it is the Halloween season but these are not decorative cobwebs!.

Visited Callans Bar and Restaurant last Saturday for a birthday celebration with my partner. We both ordered steak for mains...food was lovely but way overpriced. Paid €45 for a T bone steak and €36 for a strip loin. Can see myself going back there again with those extortionate prices.

All I can say is ‘WOW’!!! From start to finish everything about here was top class. Myself and partner arrived and were greeted by the most welcoming waitress Megan who explained the specials and promptly took a drinks order. I opted for the lobster scampi special which I have never seen before and my partner opted for the special surf and turf which was a steak with lobster. Our mouths are still watering, definitely the best steak around the Dundalk area. Although we thought it pricey looking at the menu, we quickly found out why, everything was so fresh and it was clear everything was made to order and the portion sizes were plentiful. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend here to family and friends.

Went yesterday with my sister for lunch, and all we can say from the moment we entered this wonderful restaurant until leaving it was an outstanding, friendly and gastronomic experience. The warm welcome was lovely from everyone, with a sweet smile from beautiful baby Nainsi, which made our day., with all service from everyone so attentive, For starters we shared Special of Lobster and Crab Arancini -outstanding For mains on Chef Aidan's recommendation we both chose Lobster, Crab, Prawns, Salmon in a Filo Pastry - OMG Outstanding - thank you so much Chef Aidan., you are an outstanding Chef. . Callan's is so so special. Thank you one and ALL once again.

Me and my friend had food yesterday evening in Callans bar. It was really nice. Our waitress was called Michaela. Who done an excellent job pointing out the specials and given excellent customer service. We both said we will definitely be back

Really good food and lovely staff. We have had several family dinners here over the padt few weeks and we have always been really happy with our visits. Nice pub and restaurant with a nice atmosphere
