great wings, but the burger was very dry and almost hard, you’d need a yoghurt with it to get it down, I asked for medium well being minced meat but this was rock hard

Cute place, but the burger was extremely dry and came with no sauce at all. Disappointing. The rest of the menu looks interesting though.

Delicious food and friendly service. A wonderful surprise during our stay in Dublin. Highly recommended!

We chose this restaurant mainly because it was near our hotel. And what a fortuitous choice. This was one of the best meals that we had in Ireland! The atmosphere is a cozy, local bistro. The food was truly excellent. Even my cocktail was surprisingly well executed. By luck, we ended up having a great experience. This place does seem quite popular - deservedly so -- because it was very busy with what seemed to be a local crowd that is already in-the-know about what a special place this is.

I like Canal. The service was excellent (always liked a little chitchat and a warm welcome) and the food pleasantly surprised me. I ordered fish and chips and oh boy - it was an enormous piece (palm sized!) of delicious, well cooked and tasty fish! But the best part were the peas on the side - I don’t know what they did, but these were stunning: well seasoned and delicious. The interior looks like a bit like a fancy dinner place (and maybe it is), but to me it felt a bit off. The beers, fish and chips and the overall vibe of the cafe does not match with this presentation, but that is probably just me. Enjoyed my visit and will be happy to stop by again, should I be in the area!

Thai-style fried chicken wings and drumsticks! Very tasty and spicy! Nice atmosphere, clean bathrooms!
