Canal Bank Cafe in Dublin

I love how it feels like the restaurant is full of locals, it’s such a good sign when you can literally spot returning customers. The host- great at her job, staff are super friendly and our food was great. My only critique is- I feel as though the high volume of locals makes the service for new/less frequent customers too casual. For example our waitress kind of just came over and gave us a thumbs when checking on us. Which in theory is fine, and we didn’t mind, but perhaps could be an issue for other diners.

We had a lovely experience, we had a new staff waiting our table and she did great! Food was very good, we had the Guacamole (only thing that we wouldn't have again, quite tasteless, looked like it came out of a can) and the Hummus (gorgeous). Then the steak and Fish and chips for mains, both veery good. Ending up with the chocolate 'Budino', a smooth mousse that was the perfect way to end up the evening.

Had a post flight late lunch. Good salads - Caesar and Mexican. Large portion made with good taste. Well deserved visit if you're around

I lived in Dublin for only 2 years in 2012-2014. This was my favourite place to eat, and they have the best buffalo chicken wings in the world. I came back in 2024, and it was even better than I remembered. Can’t wait for my next trip to Dublin so I can come here

Everything was great: the service, the food, and even the clientele at this place. Next time, I won't order the farmers plate, though, because what's on the plate isn't worth €16.50 compared to a full Irish for the same price.

An unforgettable evening in an unbelievably fine establishment. We were 15 minutes early for our reservation, sat down with absolutely no issue at all. We were tended to in a flash, the cocktails were sensational to begin with. The atmosphere was out of this world. Not 1 pretention in sight. The food that followed was nothing short of sensational. To top it all off, the best service in the province of Leinster. A very special mention for Maria Verdasco, who completely made our night. If the manager is reading, give this woman a raise! great wings, but the burger was very dry and almost hard, you’d need a yoghurt with it to get it down, I asked for medium well being minced meat but this was rock hard

Cute place, but the burger was extremely dry and came with no sauce at all. Disappointing. The rest of the menu looks interesting though.

Delicious food and friendly service. A wonderful surprise during our stay in Dublin. Highly recommended!
