Great welcome with drinks in the reception room, the food was amazing, and the service was friendly, and first class. Amazing location. Would definitely recommend

Beautiful house, magnificent location, wonderful people. Such a beautiful place to stay, food in the restaurant was out of this world! Can’t fault the food, homemade and tastes delicious!

Spent a fantastic weekend in the Carrig Country House.. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We were made feel very welcome...excellent food and service.

30/12/2025: Food & coffee good. Customer service Staff very poor indeed. All 4 service staff that we encountered between ordering, paying, coffee/hot drinks maker and table food service person hadn't a notion on how to address a customer. Customers treated like irritants; clearly these service staff didn't want to be there &/or had not been given any customer service training. Compares very poorly with the personable and efficient service in their Perry St (city) location.

15/01/2026: The food was good and well presented. While none of the dishes particularly impressed me, everything tasted good overall.
22/11/2025: Well what can we say? Each and every dish was so good! Especially the fish course. Not much of a fish person but Lady Helen converted me! We were full by the veal course but it was so good that we finished it. We did not go for wine pairing but ordered a bottle between the two of us. I meam the wine was lovely. Every time we come to Kilkenny, we come to the Lady Helen. Thank you again and can't wait to be back!
