Carroll's Gastro Pub in Dublin

Went for lunch, place was quiet. Ordered roast beef...I didn't like the slice of beef I was given so I asked for it to be changed. The young fella Owen in the kitchen went on to bad mouth me while I was sitting across from the kitchen hearing every word, when I was paying my bill I said to him in a nice way I heard him badmouth me and as a customer I have a right to change food if I don't like it, he just kept smirking at me and again made a smart comment to me then turned the volume up on his music and start dancing. Not very professional and very childish in my opinion it has turned me off going here. The rest of the staff were lovely unfortunately it just takes 1 bad egg!!

Stopped by for a family dinner with our adult children. Steak on the stone was amazing, wings were perfectly cooked and so tasty. Chef Eoin really out did himself looking after us. Full tummies and empty plates all round.

Hi all was in this pub today, Staff excellent, Food beautiful had fish, sea bass it was cooked to perfection. Chicken curry was lovely.

Very good food, unfortunately they had ran out of fish and chips and catch of the day. We were a party of 13 with 2 pescatarians, so were slightly disappointed. However, they had a few vegetarian options. And our server was charming. I didn't catch her name, but she was lovely (young woman with brown hair, about 20 years old). The pub has its own car park at the back and it's free for customers, which was great.

DJ’d here on a Friday night for an 80’s/90’s night. Nice atmosphere. Good parking at the back.

Nice place for food and a pint ,staff are very friendly ,prompt service sports on tvs horse racing pool table dart board ,and parking at the rear highly recommend sampling the guinness excellent pint

Went in last week for lunch. I had a club sandwich which normally consists of 3 slices of bread toasted with fillings. I got a toasted sandwich with meagre filling between the 2 slices of bread

Nice staff - Had a reservation for 7PM and our group was late due to traffic, they were really understanding. Kept the table clear of empty glasses and proved easy to find when we wanted to order more. The pub - It's a medium sized, single floor establishment with lots of room out back where there's a few metallic chairs laid out in the carpark for smokers and those with animals. Inside, the tables were clean and in order. The decor is outdated. Music started 8:30ish with the volume on max - something there for everyone although our group had come to socialise so we moved to the back of the restraunt where fortunately there was space for us. The food - We ordered burgers, Steak on the stone, chips etc. Generally we were all okay with it, the bread was fresh, chips were crispy and the beef was of decent quality. The side salad/leaves with the balsamic vinegar is outdated and in need of a refresh, although I sometimes miss the 2000s. Place seems most appropriate for watching a game or looking for a bit of music - in which case we'll be back
