Absolutely gorgeous place to visit. You book a lunch or dinner here and have a little self tour around. Expensive but luxury experience.

I recently stayed at Carton House for two nights and while the property is absolutely stunning with beautiful decor and amazing views, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful, there were several aspects that did not meet the standards I would expect from a five star hotel. The bathroom had very poor water pressure and the pillows and blankets were made of synthetic materials rather than feather which made the pillows particularly uncomfortable. We loved the restaurant where breakfast was served and the a la carte menu was delicious (although the portions were small), but the buffet was a major disappointment because we usually had breakfast around 10am and since it ends at 10.30am the buffet was not replenished, leaving very little food available and on our second day almost nothing at all, which meant leaving breakfast still hungry.

Nice estate, very big, large rooms I was missing a little "finesse" though, the extra touch, like small details that you usually find in similar places like Powerscourt or the K Club. There's no water in the room for example, there's only cotton pads, no other amenities like toothpaste (that you certainly get on request, but still), the room decoration is rather basic compared to the restaurant, meeting rooms etc. Great staff, super warm and welcoming.

A great experience. Overall, we enjoyed the stay. Staffs are all friendly. Must not miss the hotel tour.

Stayed 2 days. Lovely manor house. Great food places. There is a 18 hole golf course on site. It's a good break away from the city, so much green spaces for walks. Recommend.

What an absolutely STUNNING property. The staff and service is wonderful, food was great. We felt very comfortable and welcome the entire time and the entire place is just downright classy. Would absolutely return again.

We had lunch at The Carriage House in Carton House and had a wonderful time. The dishes were carefully prepared, with authentic flavors and attentive service. After lunch, we also took advantage of the resort's outdoor spaces, which made the experience even more special.

A magnificent setting in which it's a refreshing stay. In good weather, the park is very pleasant. During our stay, we were able to try all the restaurants and cuisines, including the Michelin-starred Morrison Room, which is a wonderful discovery. The bar is pleasant, and the cocktails are high-quality. The service is mostly excellent, especially from the entire French team we met, but it is also sometimes disappointing for an establishment of this standing. We particularly noticed that when the chef isn't present at breakfast, some take advantage of the opportunity to do as little as possible, while their colleagues try their best to satisfy the many guests. Furthermore, at reception, I find it a shame that we can't be properly informed about the activities available within or near the hotel. We were sent from left to right to get information about the golf course. We also booked a 1-hour massage at the spa for 2 people. It took 1 hour flat from our appointment to the end of the massage (including explanations, time to arrive at the room, and time to undress), all for €325. I had to complain several times to get a small 10% discount, which didn't cover the 15 minutes I wasted. Despite these minor inconveniences, we have fond memories of this beautiful place.

Beautiful stay in the presidential suite. Some experiences of slow staff but overall, highly recommend. Good was beautiful too.

Our first trip away with our baby. It was really relaxing and enjoyable. The food was excellent in Kathleen's kitchen as well.
