Carton House in

We had a wonderful stay at Carton House and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The check-in was quick and smooth, and the front desk team was extremely helpful, offering great advice about the grounds. They even offered to pack us an early breakfast since we needed to leave before the kitchen opened—a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with a lovely view of the courtyard and golf course. All the amenities were top-notch and we especially enjoyed taking a peaceful evening walk around the beautiful grounds. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be the small shower, but everything else in the room made up for it. We dined at The Bistro, where the food was delicious and the service excellent. The menu was a bit limited, but what they offered was prepared to a high standard—overall, I’d give the food experience a solid 9 out of 10. While we didn’t have time to use the spa, pool, or golf course, the facilities looked fantastic and we’re already planning to return to take advantage of the 36 holes of golf on our next trip. The atmosphere at Carton House is both relaxing and historic. Even though there was a wedding taking place during our stay, it did not detract at all from our enjoyment—unlike our experience at another hotel earlier in our trip, where a wedding limited guest access to amenities. At Carton House, everything was well-managed and accessible. The location was perfect for us: convenient for getting to the airport early the next morning, close to many local attractions, and offering everything you could want on-site. All in all, Carton House offers great value for the quality of service, accommodations, and amenities. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning in the future.

Simply a dream. The service was exceptional. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast at Kathleen's Kitchen was excellent. Two fantastic golf courses in top condition. The Carriage House Restaurant invites you to enjoy a cozy dinner after your round!

Our stay at Carton House was dreamy. The staff was kind, attentive , and accommodating. The grounds, and accommodations were splendid—beautiful, comfortable, and inviting.

Unbelievably good place to stay

Beautiful old manor house with large hotel attached plus conference center, golf course and restaurants. Concierge stated it was renovated during Covid closing in 2020 to 2021, so everything looked in top condition. Food at restaurant was great.

Magnificent hotel! But lacks fun!!!

Attending a family wedding in Carton House we were hugely impressed by this beautiful hotel. The staff could not have been more attentive and they did everything possible to ensure the wedding party had a great time. The venue is just perfect for a wedding and the food was delicious. Everything went off according to plan leaving us all with very happy memories. A big thank you to everyone in the hotel . You made our day

Beautiful grounds especially on a really nice day like when we went. We didnt stay in the hotel or eat in any of the options but wandered around a bit got a 99 from the stables. It was a really small 99 and probably the most expensive I've ever got so I'd recommend staying away from ordering one here.
