Beautiful spa and swimming pool

Overall, it was definitely 5 star quality. A present from my brother as he had stayed in Fairmount group in Canada. Food slightly overpriced but was definitely good quality. The black sole was incredible. I had a problem with a dog barking all day and Vivienne was fantastic, she followed it up and it was sorted. In fact, Vivienne was helpful from my first contact so a big thank you to her. Spa centre. Have to admit the spa centre needs updating and the pool surroundings could be cleaner. Dirty towels left, apple core left next to a sun bed. The mirror at the top of the pool looked as if it wasn’t cleaned in weeks! This stopped me relaxing there after my swim or using spa facilities. Not the best. It is definitely not a 5 star spa. Children allowed into the pool after 3.pm. Breakfast staff were inexperienced but when you got your breakfast it was fabulous. Grounds amazing. Hotel spotless and the hour hotel tour by Eric( I think that was his name) was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining! Definitely recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful stay at Carton house recently. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The facilities were great and the grounds were lovely to walk around. Delicious food options. An all round fantastic family destination.

We had a fantastic experience in Carton House, from the moment we arrived we were blown away by the beautiful surroundings and stunning landscape. The hotel itself is gorgeous, large spacious rooms, great dinning options and the service was top class. I would highly recommend the destination. Particularly with a young family.

Stayed here for a stopover on the last night somewhere near the airport. Very predictably nice facility, friendly staff and prices were not out of hand for f&b. Good stay!

Superb location in Ireland and superb residence

We had an absolutely wonderful experience. When we arrived the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Every interaction was warm, professional, and genuine — nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The food was another highlight of our stay. Whether it was breakfast, dinner, or just a coffee in one of the lounges, everything was top-quality. As for the facilities, the hotel has everything you'd expect from a luxury resort — and then some. The spa and leisure centre were pristine and relaxing, and the grounds are simply stunning. Would highly recommend, 10/10

Peaceful, elegant, and truly well cared for We had a fantastic stay at Carton House. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out — during check-in, we were even offered a cool towel to freshen up from the heat, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. The entire property is absolutely beautiful — the grounds and interiors are immaculately maintained, creating a perfect blend of luxury and serenity. The staff were consistently professional, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. The pool and wellness area was especially relaxing, a real highlight for unwinding in peace. We also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet — it was varied, fresh, and of great quality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and high-end getaway in Ireland. We would love to return!

The "Spirit" of Carton House is kind natured and warm. We were made to feel very welcome throughout all of our experiences over 4 days. Don't even get me started about the quality of the food and the lovely dining experiences! I also believe Carton House is an excellent value. I hope to return one day soon. I am grateful.
