The front of house team at Carton House made our engagement the most magical experience! They were so thoughtful and helpful in curating the most perfect day from start to finish. A particular mention should be made for Goncalo, who kept us informed and entertained on our tour around the estate before the proposal as well as all the effort he put in to help my partner organise the day and the extra touches he made at dinner that evening. His recommendation for Richie, the photographer who captured our special moment, was incredible. We’d also like to thank the front of house team, particularly the reception staff, for helping to keep the proposal a surprise while still treating us to a complimentary room upgrade, bottles of champagne and prosecco, and a late check out! Truly we couldn’t be happier with our day and can’t wait to return to make more memories!

Where to start what an amazing evening ! I had a fantastic experience in Carton House 1/5/25. I firstly went into the Courtyard for cocktail before dinner and the staff were so friendly and the bar tenders were excellent. Rodergo made my cocktail to perfection and the young girl and boy taking the orders were great. We then moved into Kathleen's Kitchen where we were brought to our table by Victoria she was super welcoming and very professional. Tens was great he was very friendly and a great help with the wine. Victoria did an amazing job explaining all our dishes to us in great detail. The food was absolutely 10/10 well done to all the chefs special thanks to Abi he was excellent. While in the bar after dinner we had a chance to meet Elfthoris & Tangey and Maxieme they were all also a credit to the hotel. When leaving Demi at reception was so helpful and happy what a way to end the night. I will certainly be back to this fabulous hotel.

spectacular Hotel, and very good service and excellent food

I have never been to a hotel as beautiful and classy yet comfortable as this one. The level of professionalism and hospitality is unbelievable. The grounds are so well kept, the staff are so friendly and helpful and honestly I can’t say anything bad about it. If you’re looking for a place to stay for comfort and luxury this is everything you need. The spa is fantastic the pool is great with a lovely view. 10/10 experience will definitely be back!

To me, people are the most important part of travel. The sights are interesting but personal contact is crucial. Happily many of the staff were Irish. Ava Lawless was fantastic. She was incredibly helpful and engaging when she helped me with my room adjustment. Although she said it was her first time leading the manor tour she was stellar practically bringing us back in time with her. Emma and Javier were also pleasantly accommodating Thanks for our stay Michael Sweeney and my daughters, Erin and Kerry along with Eloise and Jack from the next generation.

Wonderful hotel and staff! Exceeded our expectations! Very professional, friendly and relaxed. An amazing combination. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

We booked a last minute night at Carton House over the Easter weekend. A superb stay, the service especially, from the door, reception, restaurant, bar was exemplary. A true 5 star experience, while also being very family friendly.

The Afternoon Tea is a must try experience, the room it is served in is out of ordinary. Overall experience is lovely.

Stayed in Carton house over the Easter break, cannot fault the hotel and staff. Extremely friendly and great with kids. Many activities to enjoy and we really enjoyed the egg hunt. 10/10
