A former mansion, styled like a small castle of the era, has been transformed into a superb and magnificent hotel. Its essence is immediately apparent upon entering, with its reception area, hallways, and grand staircase leading to three floors. It's worth noting that in the basement, in the former stables, there's a cocktail bar with live music every night, in true Irish style. The rooms are comfortable with excellent bathrooms and showers (some have bathtubs that are a bit too high), and there are enormous suites on the first floor, such as Room #1. Spectacular. If I had to find a fault... the mattresses! They're very soft. The double beds are not like those found here; they're narrower. The floors are carpeted. Heating is provided by water radiators, powerful enough to heat the room quickly. Breakfasts are served in two styles:
Continental: Acceptable
Irish: Spectacular
Receptionist service: 10/10
Restaurant staff service: 10/10
If you travel to Dublin, we highly recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed. I just hope you have better luck with the mattress than I did!

Stayed with my partner and parents for 3 nights. A lovely, warm, welcoming and characterful hotel. Very convenient for a short stroll into Dublin city centre to experience everything it has to offer.
A nice cooked breakfast and the evening menu is excellent. Can’t praise the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff enough…nothing was too much trouble! The rooms were well appointed, comfortable and clean.
I would thoroughly recommend and when I return I’ll be sure to seek this hotel out again!

I'm currently staying here while on vacation and I have to say I could not have chosen a better hotel for my first stay in Dublin. The staff, both at the front desk and the restaurant, are polite, helpful and overall just a delight to talk to. Especially the blonde lady called Eimear (I hope I spelled that correctly) who checked me in and out was very helpful and an absolute gem.
Talking about the restaurant, the atmosphere is absolutely stellar. The food you could probably find cheaper elsewhere but the atmosphere elevates it to another level, especially since there's live music every evening starting at 8pm. The experience makes it completely worth it.
The location of the hotel itself is also very convenient for general shopping purposes.
I can't emphasize enough how satisfied I am with my stay here, I'll definitely be returning to this hotel the next time I come to Dublin. Overall a great stay, thank you to the entire staff and once again special thanks to Eimear who was patient with me despite me being absolutely nervous when checking in and out. I'll miss this hotel.

A good hotel, the staff is nice and helpful.
The rooms themselve are a bit outdated. No airconditioning units, just a window. The beds are okay, the bathroom is nice and new but the water pressure is quite low.
The breakfast options are really nice and inclusive for people with dietary restrictions.
Conclusion;
Good value for your money

Had a long stay in your hotel over the last 6 weeks . Unfortunately we were attending Mater P …. But you made our time at the hospital so much easier . We came back daily to smiles and greetings . To a room that was freshly made up and to dinner of our choice . The staff are amazing here … probably the nicest and most helpful staff we have ever met in the hospitality industry . The owner of the hotel Finn is an exceptional host , kind , chatty and generous .
The breakfast is the best full Irish in Dublin . I would highly recommend staying here for convenience to hospital( Mater. Mater Private , Templestreet and Rotunda ) , , train station and indeed the airport.
The building is old world with modern comforts . The decor is kind to the Georgian era. .
Thank you ALL for a great experience . We will be back . Martin Lafferty , Jo Gannon

Our favorite hotel in Dublin! Great breakfast (either continental or full Irish breakfast). Very friendly staff and a truly central location. I highly recommend the Castle.
