Lovely hotel, very friendly staff, excellent restaurant on site. For breakfast, you can choose between the classic continental or the famous Irish breakfast, which you absolutely must try!

Stayed here over New years 2025/26. Location is fantastic, just far enough from the noise but a 15 min walk to the river and Temple Bar. Both restaurants have good food, good entertainment and the staff is nicer than most we encountered in Dublin.

We liked it! Rooms are ok but a bit old. Some troubles with heating and warm water sometimes. Poorly soundproofed, You will need earplugs. Very friendly staff and at all a nice spot for a vacation.

We felt very comfortable in this hotel. The staff is exceptionally polite and very friendly. Special requests are fulfilled as quickly as possible (we wanted a second blanket, as there was only one large blanket for two people). The reception is staffed 24/7, which is very convenient for late flights. All the rooms are beautifully furnished. The common areas are also very cozy and inviting. The building is an old Georgian hotel, and it's a pleasure to simply wander through the corridors. The rooms are cleaned daily, and tea, coffee, and biscuits are available at the kettle. There are two restaurants: one serves a typical Irish breakfast at your table, and the other offers a self-service continental breakfast. Both are good. The hotel is very centrally located (yet still quiet), and everything is within walking distance. Hop-on hop-off bus stops are directly opposite the hotel. Regular public transport stops are just a 5-minute walk away.

An amazingly cozy place to stay with excellent service, two restaurants. You feel welcome and taken care of. Thank you very much for a splendid stay.

Close to the city centre. Bus stop nearby. Perfect for visiting Dublin.

This is my second time staying at the Castle Hotel and I'll definitely be back! It's very well located, with quick access to the city center on foot, and several bus lines stop right next to the hotel, including ones for the airport! But above all, everything about the hotel is fantastic: the decor, the room, the bedding, the breakfast, and a special mention for the reception staff! They took the time to help us several times during our stay; you can really feel that they care about their guests! And that's a real pleasure! I'll definitely stay at the Castle Hotel every time I plan a trip to Dublin! And I've already recommended it to several colleagues and friends. Thank you for everything 😊

A wonderful, family-run hotel. Especially around Christmas time, it's beautifully decorated, very cozy, and the people here are all incredibly friendly, especially the owner. The location is also very good.

Lovely hotel, delicious breakfast, sweet and friendly people!

A former mansion, styled like a small castle of the era, has been transformed into a superb and magnificent hotel. Its essence is immediately apparent upon entering, with its reception area, hallways, and grand staircase leading to three floors. It's worth noting that in the basement, in the former stables, there's a cocktail bar with live music every night, in true Irish style. The rooms are comfortable with excellent bathrooms and showers (some have bathtubs that are a bit too high), and there are enormous suites on the first floor, such as Room #1. Spectacular. If I had to find a fault... the mattresses! They're very soft. The double beds are not like those found here; they're narrower. The floors are carpeted. Heating is provided by water radiators, powerful enough to heat the room quickly. Breakfasts are served in two styles: Continental: Acceptable Irish: Spectacular Receptionist service: 10/10 Restaurant staff service: 10/10 If you travel to Dublin, we highly recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed. I just hope you have better luck with the mattress than I did!
