Cava Bodega in Galway

Run don’t walk to this absolute treasure of a spot in Galway. I’m quite literally writing this review as I finish my glass of wine after having one of the most amazing meals of my entire life. I just could not wait that’s how good this place is. Atmosphere 10/10, service 10/10, FOOD 1000000/10. My tastebuds had the time of their life. I ordered two savory tapas items, and one dessert that changed my world. Goat cheese and sweet potato croquettes with saffron mayo: the perfect bite size piece of heaven. The tanginess of the saffron mayo paired so well with the creaminess of the goats cheese. The fried savory and sweetness of the sweet potato really brought this dish together. Confit pork Belly with apple compote and thyme gel: WOW, just total gobsmacked wow. The pork belly was cooked to absolute perfection. Tender enough to melt in your mouth on the inside and crispy on the outside. The apple confit was spiced so well and was the perfect addition to this pork. The thyme gel threw me off slightly. The flavor was great and complimented the pork in a way I was not expecting, but the cold consistency was unexpected. Regardless, I would order this dish again without a doubt, Crema catalana, vanilla ice cream, almond crumble: this was the pièce de résistance, the absolute showstopper, and a dish that I would quite literally want every single night for the rest of my life. The nuttiness of the almond crumb was the perfect match for the sweetness of the vanilla ice cream. And then when the flavors collided with the crema catalana my world changed. I’m at a loss for words to describe the experience it was eating this. I was actually sad when they took it away because it meant the experience was over. If I was in the comfort of my own home I would lick the bowls clean with zero shame. And I might just do that the next time I order it. All in all, I have a new favorite spot in my favorite city in the world. I look forward to the journey I’m about to embark on to try everything this amazing place has to offer!

The food, the service, everything is 5 stars. We keep coming back, ordering the same tapas and over the years we were never disappointed, the food is always excellent.

A spectacular dinner. All the food was cooked to its best and the attention of the waiter Álvaro was unbeatable. The only thing left to do is keep trying new things, 100% a mandatory stop in Galway.

Amazing place!! The food, the staff, the atmosphere… just excellent. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been. Coming from Spain I can assure you’ll get proper Spanish food. Can’t wait to go back again 🙌🏼✨

I had a wonderful birthday dinner on Monday , Jan 6th . It just happened to be the Spanish celebration of the 12 Kings ( Spanish Christmas ) which I have celebrated before in Spain . But I truly felt I was in Spain on this occasion with the ambiance and good vibes. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and when I mentioned it was my birthday they kindly offered me a complimentary glass of cava - a lovely touch ! The wine list was impressive also. The menus were explained clearly, the service was superb and the atmosphere was joyous. A truly memorable evening . I look forward to going back and highly recommend it !! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🍷🍷🍷🧀🧀🥘🥘🇪🇸🇪🇸

Debe ser una de las mejores comidas que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo. Nuestro gerente de NPD recomendó Cava Bodega y luego cuando estaba charlando con el hotel antes de llegar el miembro del personal también habló muy bien de ello. Y no decepcionaste. Amplia selección de menús. Comida deliciosa con mucho cuidado re mi GF necesita, el personal amable y servicial, pero con un poco de craic. Ambiente sin duda un poco de España en Galway. Buzz pero relajante y no intrusivo. Cerveza Doura GF añadido a mi noche - sabroso! No demasiado caro y buenos tamaños de porción para el precio. Muchas gracias Ronan por recomendar y muchas gracias Cava Bodega por una gran noche para recordar. En particular gracias a Anita que nos cuidó y nuestras necesidades de menú. Qué súper persona.

Sfeervol restaurant, bediening over het algemeen heel vriendelijk en attent. Tapas erg lekker, geen heel grote porties maar prijs-kwaliteit was goed in balans. Aanrader als je in Galway tapas wilt eten!
