Cava Bodega in Galway

Just had the most amazing paella at this lovely little tapas place. Service was impeccable and they introduced me to orange wine! (Colour, not flavour.) Thank you so much.

Must be one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Our NPD manager recommended Cava Bodega and then when I was chatting to hotel before arriving the staff member also talked highly of it. And you didn’t disappoint. Menu choice extensive. Food delicious with great care re my GF needs, staff friendly and helpful but with a bit of craic. Ambience definitely a bit of Spain in Galway. Buzz but relaxing and not intrusive. Doura GF beer added to my night - tasty! Not overly priced and good portion sizes for the price. Many thanks Ronan for recommending and many thanks Cava Bodega for a great night to remember. In particular thanks to Anita who looked after us and our menu needs. What a Super person.

We ate dinner here on a Monday night and luckily were able to walk in and grab a table around 6:30pm. The restaurant filled up quickly with reservations and the additional few walk-in spots, so try to make a reservation if you can. Everything we ate was phenomenal, especially the pincho pork belly, chicken skewer, and spinach were outstanding. These were some of the best Spanish tapas I have ever had in my life! The waiter (Alvaro, I think) was so kind and friendly and even gave us brunch recommendations for the next day. The restaurant had a small cozy Spanish feel and great ambiance. Overall wonderful experience and HIGHLY recommend coming here.

Loved all the tapas that we tried - and we tried quite a few. Can see why this place is popular. The mushrooms, cauliflower, octopus, tomato bread and octopus bread were all good.

Authentic Spanish food with a vibrant atmosphere. I've lived in Spain so it took me back to my time in the Iberian Peninsula. Great selection of wines and beers also!

Awesome food but didn't like that service is not included in the prices, which was not advised until it came time to pay the bill. This is the only place in Ireland we have experienced this. So you'll be paying at least 10% more than the menu pricing.

We had heard great things about Cava Bodega so went recently on a rare date night. The vibe was very nice, the decor is welcoming, the person who sat us was friendly, everything good the start. We had some of the canapés to start, both types were delicious. Unfortunately after that the food wasn't so great. The tomato bread is not tomato bread, it's bread with mushed/finely diced tomato on it, the squid dish was deep-fried squid like you get in many restaurants which was very disappointing. The menu descriptions really should be better. We were basically ignored after our last tapas was delivered, over 30 mins no one came to see if we wanted more drinks, more food, the dessert menu, etc...we finally got someone's attention to ask for the dessert menu but then they disappeared without bringing. We asked someone else and eventually got it but at that stage we wanted out and asked for the bill. Disappointing service overall and the limited menu descriptions makes the food seem more elaborate than what you actually get.
