Central Bar in Donegal

I stayed at the central hotel Donegal from the l5th Of February until the 18th this year . Excellent service , the staff could not do enough for you. Very welcoming . Accommodation was great , spotless, ,rooms were topped up with tea and coffee every day , fresh towels etc. the food was also excellent,serving staff were so nice . There are many facilities within the hotel, swimming pool ,sauna ,gym .and if you feel like treating yourself , fantastic spa treatments. This hotel, more importantly so , covers all aspects of assess ability for disabled. There is great entertainment of an evening which is fantastic. Location is great , with other bars and places to eat , and places of interest to visit. I had a ball with friends for a special birthday , will not forget it and hope to go back soon . X

Ideal for those wanting to be centralized in town for walking around. Rooms are fair enough—nothing more than a place to lay your head, beds are comfortable and clean, ample shampoo/bathing supplies were appreciated, construction is happening, vending machine is out of service, bar was kid friendly and played music from 8:30-10pm, & parking is street parking only. Pool was available and entertaining, have your swim cap and if you are taking a little, then get there before the 7pm turnover. Restaurant was booked for the Valentine’s Day Holiday and no food is served at the bar, which was a bit of a negative when the little one got hungry. Busy location and a good choice if deciding on where to stay, but not wanting to overspend. The halls were quiet and everyone very respectful.

Superb place to stay friendly staff clean rooms and the food is excellent. Also right in the middle of The Diamond in Donegal it has access to everything.

My friend got married here recently. The Wedding was awesome ! The staff were friendly and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. Everything went off without a hitch & we all had a wonderful day. I would definitely come back for longer & definitely recommend this hotel

Can’t recommend the Central enough! It’s so rare these days to get first class customer service but the Central ticks all the boxes. Perfect location in the centre of the town, the staff could not be more helpful and accommodating, and the rooms are amazing with fabulous views across the bay. We have stayed twice already and will definitely be back again.

Stayed recently, Dec 24, on a Friday night. Staff were lovely and room was fine. Breakfast was awful, everything pre-cooked and bordering on cold. Bacon and sausages under and overcooked. At least the pot of tea was hot to warm up what was in your mouth. The two old dears doing the Breakfast were lovely and it wasn't their fault that they'd been left with a pre cooked loadif rubbish. The mushrooms were garlic mushrooms obviously left over from the dinner service the previous night. A bit embarrassing really.

What can I say only a big thank you to Breada and her team from the beginning to the end helping make my birthday a special one. The care and attention was excellent,the afternoon tea was amazing would highly recommend. Thank you Breada and her wonderful staff. Marie x

Brilliant night in The Central Hotel yesterday evening for Afternoon Tea. The staff were amazing and so attentive and the food was gorgeous. Will definitely be back

The hotel is perfect. In the middle of town. Unfortunately steam room was not available but Manager offered to let us stay on a bit longer before leaving so we could use pool as first day there was swimming lessons. Restaurant amazing and food was excellent. The two waiters are amazing 👏 yous are a credit to this hotel.

Just passing through and popped in for breakfast. The staff couldn't be nicer and couldn't do enough for us and the breakfast was not only delicious but great value too. We'll definitely be back!
