Central Bar in Donegal

Nice little hotel, worth the price. Staff were very helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable. Only issue was a lack of hot water on the evening of our visit, a burst pipe which couldn’t be helped. Food was nice.

Stayed 2 nights ago, for one night, great value, for room, great meal in restaurant, better that we where expecting, room was clean and tidy, and for the price great value

Bus tour. Loved Donegal Town and surroundings. Hotel was perfect. Comfortable, welcoming and lovely food.

We had our wedding reception at the Central. It was such a wonderful day for us, our family and friends. Breda, Alvin and the team were just brilliant and we couldn't have asked for more on the day or leading up to it. Alvin was especially amazing, from start to finish helping me plan our special day! Any queries or requests they couldn't do enough for us. Their experience in guiding us through the process was second to none! Highly recommend, food was exceptional, friendly staff and the effort put into the ballroom for our reception was just breathtaking. Atmosphere at the Central is always lovely. Look forward dinning again at the hotel and future occasions celebrated there. Thank you all very much!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Rooms were big, clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly and helpful. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and will definitely be staying again and also recommending to friends and family if they are ever visiting Donegal. I stayed at the central hotel Donegal from the l5th Of February until the 18th this year . Excellent service , the staff could not do enough for you. Very welcoming . Accommodation was great , spotless, ,rooms were topped up with tea and coffee every day , fresh towels etc. the food was also excellent,serving staff were so nice . There are many facilities within the hotel, swimming pool ,sauna ,gym .and if you feel like treating yourself , fantastic spa treatments. This hotel, more importantly so , covers all aspects of assess ability for disabled. There is great entertainment of an evening which is fantastic. Location is great , with other bars and places to eat , and places of interest to visit. I had a ball with friends for a special birthday , will not forget it and hope to go back soon . X

Ideal for those wanting to be centralized in town for walking around. Rooms are fair enough—nothing more than a place to lay your head, beds are comfortable and clean, ample shampoo/bathing supplies were appreciated, construction is happening, vending machine is out of service, bar was kid friendly and played music from 8:30-10pm, & parking is street parking only. Pool was available and entertaining, have your swim cap and if you are taking a little, then get there before the 7pm turnover. Restaurant was booked for the Valentine’s Day Holiday and no food is served at the bar, which was a bit of a negative when the little one got hungry. Busy location and a good choice if deciding on where to stay, but not wanting to overspend. The halls were quiet and everyone very respectful.

Superb place to stay friendly staff clean rooms and the food is excellent. Also right in the middle of The Diamond in Donegal it has access to everything.

My friend got married here recently. The Wedding was awesome ! The staff were friendly and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. Everything went off without a hitch & we all had a wonderful day. I would definitely come back for longer & definitely recommend this hotel

Can’t recommend the Central enough! It’s so rare these days to get first class customer service but the Central ticks all the boxes. Perfect location in the centre of the town, the staff could not be more helpful and accommodating, and the rooms are amazing with fabulous views across the bay. We have stayed twice already and will definitely be back again.
