Central Bar in Donegal

Overall the hotel and staff was magnificent but I had to deduct points due to a manager on this morning in the buffet breakfast, there was a young lad, clearly new to work and, he was scolded and talked to by the manager loudly, and in a berating way, in front of the guests, then proceeded to wave his hands over his head and click and point! I dunno how the lad works overall but you can see he his polite and trying his best and being led by inept management who is in no position to lead! Honestly the manager was the person who ruined our breakfast experience. In light of that the staff all round were lovely, the girls at reception, the staff at the bar and the general buffet breakfast staff were all lovely but that manager needs reprimanding and to be replaced as he's not a leader!

Great stay in a very lively town

The bay-facing room was okay, the bathroom very nice and newly furnished, but that's to be expected from a hotel in a central location and at this price. The breakfast is average, but the coffee is beyond compare. We managed to get the staff to bring us an espresso once, but on subsequent days, there was apparently an order that this service wasn't available.

This hotel is a good one in town! We stayed for one night, and the experience was delightful. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making our stay truly enjoyable. The room was spotless, and the breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable and pleasant stay!

Day out for Senior Citizens. Wonderful Delicious Meal served by friendly staff. A Beautiful Hotel.

Nice little hotel, worth the price. Staff were very helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable. Only issue was a lack of hot water on the evening of our visit, a burst pipe which couldn’t be helped. Food was nice.

Stayed 2 nights ago, for one night, great value, for room, great meal in restaurant, better that we where expecting, room was clean and tidy, and for the price great value

Bus tour. Loved Donegal Town and surroundings. Hotel was perfect. Comfortable, welcoming and lovely food.

We had our wedding reception at the Central. It was such a wonderful day for us, our family and friends. Breda, Alvin and the team were just brilliant and we couldn't have asked for more on the day or leading up to it. Alvin was especially amazing, from start to finish helping me plan our special day! Any queries or requests they couldn't do enough for us. Their experience in guiding us through the process was second to none! Highly recommend, food was exceptional, friendly staff and the effort put into the ballroom for our reception was just breathtaking. Atmosphere at the Central is always lovely. Look forward dinning again at the hotel and future occasions celebrated there. Thank you all very much!
