Market House in Donegal

The restaurant is in a lovely location and the decor is beautiful, so we had high hopes. Unfortunately, the service really let the experience down. We were waiting a long time for both drinks and food, and the overall service felt quite slow. When the food eventually arrived, the pasta wasn’t cooked properly, while both the prawns and salmon were overcooked. It was disappointing, especially considering how nice the setting is.

Great place to have a big family meal.

Hi Guys I just wanted to share our experience in Market House Restaurant Donegal We were celebrating our Anniversary. We were welcomed warmly by lady at door. Our server Carragh was just amazing very friendly and attentive an absolute asset to your establishment. Food was excellent. She wished us a happy Anniversary and presented us with bottle of wine totally unexpected .A truly wonderful place to celebrate any special occasion .We will definitely be back.Onoir finished off wonderful evening

Super Dinner and fantastic service

The restaurant is in a great location and has a nice atmosphere. The food was decent, but it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The cheeseburger and fish & chips were okay, though the flavors could have been better. The service was polite, but there is definitely room for improvement. Overall, it was an average dining experience.

Called in for lunch on a whim. Wife and I got toasted sandwiches which were lovely. Our 4 year old got chicken nuggets and chips- tasted like proper chicken. Service was excellent also. Would recommend.

Food was delicious and the restaurant had a nice charm in its decorations. Staff were excellent and the prices were reasonable.

On 15th June 2026. My wife and I had an excellent dinning experience. The young waiting staff were cordial and professional.

Absolutely amazing food, steak on the stone was the best steak I have ever tasted, highly recommended that you visit this restaurant if ur in Donegal Town.
