I've only ever gotten the takeaways rather than dine-in. But the food is just amazing, very generous portioning, so plenty leftovers for another meal too

I asked for a mild vegetarian dish, but our ideas of mild were very different. However the waiters were superb and brought me a lassi to cool my mouth and tried to cool the dish down. Very impressed with their staff.
There are some parking spots outside (2 disabled) and a reasonably sized pay & display car park opposite.
Entry door is manual and the restaurant is upstairs so you have approximately 25 stairs to climb to get to the restaurant.
The gents are on the ground floor, ladies upstairs.
A really nicely decorated restaurant, staff were polite, very attentive and the food was really good.
This place was recommended by a friend and I would definitely eat here again.

Got Indian railway lamb curry and it was absolutely amazing. Only complaint I would have that you either get rice or naan and neither is very big. So I'd suggest buying naan as an add on to your rice choice. Apart from that amazing. And service is super friendly and quick.

Such a lovely Indian restaurant. The food is delicious & reasonably priced. The starters are a bit small but the mains are a good size. The staff are friendly & very attentive. I would definitely return.

Lovely experience. Eating in at an Indian restaurant is always nicer than takeaway due to the service as well as the dips and poppadoms. Takeaway from here was lovely too, we ordered it on Xmas eve and ate it for Xmas dinner for a nice change :-) Our preference is to dine in and experience the atmposphere of Chandpur. A family of meat eaters and 1 vegetarian everyone was well catered for.

First timers here and holiday makers. Read a recent article on this award winning restaurant so had to check it out. We arrived at 4pm. No early bird menu was offered although a children's menu was available with the a la carte. Throughout the meal, all the staff were excellent with our two children aged 5 and under and had a really lovely manner with them. The only thing to better this child/family experience is to offer a picture to colour with colours to help occupy them during a relaxed service.
To commence, we ordered a tandoori mixed starter to share at €8.50 & for mains: butter chicken with plain rice and we asked for a recommendation for a medium curry for our 2nd dish: we were recommended either the Indian Railway curry or garlic chicken tikka chilli bhuna so opted for the latter with plain rice (both mains were €18.95 incl. plain rice or plain naan). We also ordered an extra garlic naan to share at €3.95.We declined the offered poppadoms as we thought we had ordered plenty between us so were surprised when they landed at our table but we were assured that they were complimentary. The mixed starter was very tasty. The butter chicken was quite sweet and mild tasting but enjoyable especially for the children. The garlic chilli chicken made my tongue tingle and I am used to curries. For drinks, we ordered a jug of Miwadi for the table and 2 glasses of red wine for the non-driver at €8.45 each which arrived in a quarter bottle. Although on closer inspection of the menu it was €6.45 each. Overall, very tasty Indian cuisine deserving of the accolades.
My husband paid the bill. When we were home, I was annoyed to find that we had indeed been charged for the complimentary 4 poppadoms and chutney (at €5). Up until this point, I was giving an excellent rating for this restaurant: both food and service but hence reduced the rating to reflect these sneaky overcharges of the unordered poppadoms and wine.
