Expected a nice French almond croissant, but let down with the size of it, later got to know that I should have chosen the bigger one.. so make sure when you order ask for the biggest one if you would prefer .. happy days... Merci :)

Great pastries and French cafe setup. Only thing to improve would be to have a bit more space at the seats and better seats, all in good time :)

I love this cafe, the bread is beautiful, the service is like you’re in France and the croque monsieur is by far my favourite menu item. The coffee is always a lovely treat and all round it’s a stunning atmosphere

Went in for a pastry and tea. It was a euro more per pastry to sit in so I got a pain au chocolate and tea to go. The pain au chocolate could do with more chocolate, it only had one skinny piece in it for a rather wide pastry. All I can taste is butter. But dissatisfied. Quick service, nice staff, nice decor.

08/03/2025: Ce n'était pas là où nous avions prévu de déjeuner mais je pense que nous aurions pu le regretter !!! Excellent accueil attentionné et chaleureux. Le service est au top !!! Les plats sont délicieux et copieux. C'était franchement l'endroit où il fallait s'arrêter et même la bière bien fraiche a fini de me convaincre !!! Un excellente endroit à découvrir !!!
17/10/2024: Pretty average to be honest . Food was ok , nothing special . Service was fine , younger waiter was very pleasant and friendly. Older barman / waiter who took payment started going on about immigration . I understand that he's entitled to an opinion but this isn't the appropriate place to pass on his views .

Le Bistro Restaurant

02/04/2025: This hotel is a great location especially for the price. It fit our needs perfectly. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Close to the train station and the square, within walking distance to shops and Latin Quarter. We paid for the breakfast one morning and it was okay. Found other breakfasts we liked better for about the samw price and other days we just didn't need as much so we went to other cafes for smaller meals at a lower cost.
27/03/2025: Clean and respectable hotel in the heart of Galway city. The location doesn’t get better. Some of restaurant and bar staff need a bit of training in hospitality, not very accommodating or friendly.
