Chez Max in Dublin

Grrrrreat ambiance and food, like your sitting in the first arrondissement, except the cold and the AIB next door.

I loved the food and the experience! I will be back!

Small restaurant in the style of a French bistro. The location is quiet and a bit away from the street. Really recommended for a break before or after visiting the sights in the area.

Good French dishes presented well in suitable surroundings

A friend recommended this restaurant and we had a fantastic meal on a cold rainy day. All three meals were absolutely delicious the people were friendly and the service was Top Notch definitely would recommend going there and would love to go again there myself

What a quaint, neat, little place to stop. We were near this wonderful little place to meet our tour guide but had come about an hour early so we wanted to go and enjoy a nice coffee while we waited. The ambiance in this little place is absolutely wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a small place, so keep that in mind, but they also have a very nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy a meal, a cup of coffee or a great glass of wine.

Fantastic. Great food, very reasonably priced and very friendly staff. This is exactly what you want from a restaurant. This was my first time here. Some friends had been here years ago and recommended it. I wished I’d listened. Silly me. The French onion soup is the best I’ve tasted since I was in Aix en Provence. The best in Dublin!! I also had the boeuf bourguignon which was lovely comfort food :-) The meal was bookended with Kir Royale (multiple!) and Irish coffees. In Dublin, my go-to French restaurant was always La Maison. But I’ve found a new “go-to”. I’ll still try La Maison, but my preferred is Chez Max. Lovely staff, lovely ambience, lovely food. Well worth a try.
