China Palace in Athenry

Gorgeous place and food excellent

Truly excellent and very abundant dishes, possibility to choose what they will be accompanied with (boiled or fried rice), something that doesn't exist in Italy. We had a really good time, the place was clean and well kept. The fast service (we had everything in half an hour) and the kind and friendly waiters. Also very convenient is the fact that it closes late, on a Saturday evening where all the kitchens of the other restaurants closed at 7.30pm, it was our salvation. If I lived in Athenry it would be one of my favorite restaurants.

Food is good but they charge you 3€ if you want ketchup for your fries. Also 2.90€ for a 150ml glass of milk!

Don't ever order the chips!! Anything else I have ever ordered is great and I have tried many dishes. Just don't order anything with or including chips! Make them at home and save your money. Sorry China Palace but i know these are the cheapest you could buy and overcooked , a waste of my money and all went in the bin. I can't add a photo of them sadly.

Food was lovely, hot and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Only criticism is I would like place feel bit more Oriental
