We stayed here for a wedding last week. From the moment we stepped in the atmosphere was lovely and homely. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The whole hotel, rooms included were the cleanest I have seen in a long time and the food was divine! Seriously impressed with this hotel!

A Hotel That Holds Our Hearts – Wedding Memories & 20th Anniversary Celebration We were married in this hotel four years ago, and returning last night for the hotel’s 20th anniversary celebration reminded us of just how special a place it truly is. We were honoured to be invited back for this occasion, and the experience brought back so many wonderful memories from our wedding day. From the very beginning, the hotel went above and beyond to make our wedding everything we hoped for. My wife took the lead in organising the day (as many will understand!), and she worked closely with the team, who were nothing short of exceptional. Every detail was handled with care, and the staff made sure everything ran smoothly. The food on the day was outstanding, and every guest commented on the quality—from starters to desserts. The bedrooms were absolutely beautiful and created a warm, elegant atmosphere that our guests still talk about. Coming back for the 20th anniversary celebration felt like coming home. The atmosphere, the hospitality, and the people—it was all just as wonderful as we remembered. What stood out most was seeing so many familiar faces. Some of the staff have been there for over 15 or even 20 years, and that kind of loyalty speaks volumes about the culture and values of this hotel. As a business owner myself, I found it truly inspiring. The staff clearly care about one another, and they take real pride in what they do. The breakfast this morning was as delightful as ever, served with kindness and warmth. The food at the anniversary event last night was simply superb—consistent with the hotel’s long-standing reputation for excellence in dining. The Fennin family, who own and run the hotel, deserve enormous credit. The late Mr. Fennin, who founded the hotel, clearly built something extraordinary. His wife Bridy and their daughters have carried that legacy with dedication and genuine passion, and it shows in every corner of the hotel and in every interaction. This hotel is more than just a beautiful venue—it’s a place run with love, care, and a deep commitment to hospitality. Whether you’re popping in for a coffee, enjoying a meal, or planning a once-in-a-lifetime event, you’ll feel that difference. We are forever grateful to have celebrated such key moments in our lives here. A thousand stars wouldn’t be enough. Went for lunch in the Bistro...excellent service and food was delicious. Can recommend a trip here without any reservation.

Just returned from my third visit to the Clanard Hotel. And as per usual never fails to impress. We stayed in the Ard RI Suite as it was out wedding anniversary and suite was just beyond amazing. Some beautiful touches in this room. Didn't want to leave. Absolutely spotless not a speck of dirt or dust. Housekeeping deserve a big round of applause. To be honest all members of staff are just the best I've ever come across in a hotel. Love the 2 ladies who seem to run the bar and bistro at breakfast and lunch. They are so nice and friendly. Even remembered us from last visit. Always had time for chat. All the staff we encountered were exceptional. A lot of hotels could learn a thing or 2 from management and staff from Clanard. Food was delicious from breakfast, lunch and dinner. If I could give 10 stars I would. Can't wait for out next visit. Keep up the fantastic work Clanard.

Stayed Easter Sunday. Wonderful staff, tasty food, good size portions. Live music in the bar. Very clean and the room was was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
